Courtyard New York LaGuardia Airport in Queens

Horrible experience so far. The first room they sent me to was not cleaned from the prior guest. Disgusting. The next room they sent me to had a party going on. It's 1:30 in the morning and the party is louder than it was two hours ago. Don't use this hotel if you need sleep. This hotel experience wants me to be an advocate against Marriott. I will never stay at a Marriott hotel again. This is senseless. No manager here and the hotel staff could care less.

I picked the Marriott Courtyards because I have stayed in many and always have been impressed with how well kept, clean and just all around pleasant they are. This one was none of those things. Parking was $13.00. I didnt know you had to pay to park untill i went to leave, no signage (that i could see). My room was very hot, I could not regulate the heat, needed a detailed cleaning, corners of the bathroom floor dirty, shower rod loose and hanging down and it looked like there used to be a microwave and they just took it out leaving a gross cabinet. I did not care for the decor, dated, run down. I enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the am. I usually stay away from room coffee and most hotels offer free coffee in the lobby. They had a dark closet- like room with an automatic (I think liquid) coffee dispenser with tiny 5 ounce cups. It was free, but not worth it. I would rather have paid for a decent coffee. They should not charge full price for half of the experience. I would not stay here again.

I don’t know if this can be considered as racism thing. When I checked in, the front desk’s words was like I am guilty and waiting to be sent to prison. Then the room itself showed that it is the prison—there is still water in bath, the bed is mess, the trash bin is uncleaned, so all the other things there. I am too angry that I rushed downstairs, then they changed a room for me, then nothing, not apologize from the man served me.
P.S. the second time, when I arrived the front desk, the man served me before reacted like he knows what I am looking for, I am afraid it is not a accident, a aimed action to me, as Chinese. So I think I will never choose Marriott, who knows if they will ask me to live in basement, or even worse. Now I am so regret that I didn’t take photos since this is the first time I meet such disappointing thing.

If you have experienced the refreshed Marriott Courtyards, this isn't one of them. This is an older property, with 1970's vintage decor. The bathroom had been refreshed at some point with a plastic tub liner. There was visible mold on all seems, and numerous pubic hairs in on shower walls and tub surface. The bed linens were tired, the mattress and pillows were ok, but not great. The staff was friendly and the service was very good. If they refresh the property, it would be a great place to stay.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. not much of a selection. They have a dance club downstairs with the music blaring all night! I like fun as much as anybody else. But I thought I was paying for a nights rest. Not clubbing.....
But the rooms were clean. Big comfy bed. I only wish I got to sleep more than four hours because of noise.
