I wish they had more plugs in the room the pho e did not work nor did the charging station

We had everything except a hairdryer. We were told there was one in the room but we didn’t have . So had to ask at reception

Best Midtown Hotel
This is hands down the best mid-town hotel I’ve stayed in. Make sure to visit the solarium for a beautiful view of St Patrick’s. Excellent staff, interesting historical building.

We loved the character of the building. It was well maintained and very clean. The staff were all exceptionally capable and nice. The location was perfect and centrally located. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with cleanliness a 10. Walking to all attractions and felt safe walking after dark from Broadway's show.
Pierre and the young lady at the desk were so helpful and happy to see us.
The bar was relaxing after a long day.

Such a wondedful hotel. Very comfortable beds amd so clean. Only thing nissing is a min fridge and kettle in room.

3 West Club is a picturesque hotel with a classical elegant look situated in an ideal area of the city. It is right across from the Rockefeller, Lego Store and beautiful St. Patrick's Cathedral; also a short walk to the subway, Times Square, the Broadway Theatre District, and Central Park. Lots of access to shopping and restaurants nearby. We could also take longer walks to Korea Town, the UN, and other sites. We were also grateful to the staff who were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and lovely. The only reason I didn't give a 5 for facilities is the room size was small-ish (we were in one with 2 twin size beds) and when I tried to turn on the heating at night it wasn't warm air coming out of the vents, just cold air, so I turned off the temp system after 5 minutes. Maybe it takes a while for an older building? I did like they included an umbrella in our closet just in case it rained. Very thoughtful! Thank you 3 West Club team for making our stay wonderful and memorable!

Originally a historic building, it was conveniently located for getting anywhere and proved to be a very comfortable hotel. The reception staff were extremely kind, and the room was clean and pleasant to stay in.

The only disappointment was that the Wi-Fi connection was not available on the upper floors. It works in the lobby, so I believe the issue is with the distance from the router, and I hope this will be improved.

My mother and I stayed here for six nights, starting August 10th.

The location is fantastic!
I highly recommend this hotel for those planning to visit Radio City Music Hall (the stage door is on the same side of the street as the hotel entrance).
Rockefeller Plaza is across the street from the hotel entrance.
The nearest subway station is less than 10 minutes away.
Times Square, Central Park, and MoMA are within walking distance (though many subway stations only have stairs, so it's a challenge for those with suitcases), making it the perfect base for sightseeing in New York. Plus, the closest station is a direct train from Jamaica Station, making travel to the airport easy.
However, the nearest supermarket is about a 10-minute walk away. There's a drugstore about 5 minutes away, but the selection is limited.

Facilities and Amenities

The hotel itself isn't particularly new, but I thought it was clean enough. (I didn't get breakfast, so I only used the room and the lobby.)
I drank the tap water in my room and didn't get sick.
The hotel entrance door is quite heavy for a Japanese person. My mother, who is in her 50s, seemed quite tired.

There are two elevators, one with two doors and apparently used for business purposes, but it didn't cause any inconvenience.

About the Room

When I was looking for a hotel, I had the impression that most hotels in New York had double beds, but the twin room with two single beds was convenient for me since I usually sleep alone.

The bathroom was provided with a shower cap, shampoo, treatment, and body soap, and it lathered well (although it's convenient to bring your own body towel). There was also a hair dryer with a decent amount of airflow.

Towels, bath towels, sheets, etc. were changed daily.

One of the few negative points was that there was no refrigerator. They seemed to offer rentals, but it was only $10/day, so I gave up.


There was an ice bucket in the room, so I got some ice from the ice machine on the 7th floor and used it to cool my bottles.


About Tipping

I had planned to leave a tip on my last day, but on the second day, when I returned to my room early to rest, the cleaning lady came to visit me. I managed to leave a tip the next day, but with the increasing trend toward cashless payments, it was difficult to carry small amounts of cash. Since it's not a luxury hotel and there is no porter service, I think that's the only tip you'll get at this hotel (concierge service not included).

Next time I travel to New York, I'd definitely consider staying here, depending on my purpose and budget.

The hotel was very clean and the service was good. However, the doors were not properly fitted. It was difficult to unlock the front door and the bathroom door.
