Courtyard Long Island City/New York Manhattan View in Queens

This happened back in December- We had an issue with our room being double booked, which happens. I have stayed here before and it was great. The reason I am leaving this review is because the woman working the front desk solo, Omomu, was incredible. She was new but you would know that if she didn’t tell you. She was incredibly kind, thorough, communicative, and hard working. She should not have been in the situation that she was in but she handled it with a level head and got us a room at a different hotel without having to pay the difference in cost. I hope omomu gets all her flowers because she deserves it.

I was very pleased with this Courtyard Marriott. Rooms and bathrooms were a nice size. Beds were comfortable. Staff was lovely and continuously offered additional support for our stay. I was slightly nervous about the noise given its location to all the train tracks, but with a white noise app, I didn’t even notice while it sleeping. Location was convenient to LaGuardia, subway, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Courtyard by Marriott Long Island City/New York Manhattan View absolutely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into the perfect blend of modern comfort and NYC energy. 🏙️✨
The rooms? Impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed — huge windows offering jaw-dropping views of the Manhattan skyline that made every morning feel like a dream. 🌇🛏️
The beds were insanely comfortable, and the little touches — from quality toiletries to well-placed charging stations — made everything seamless.
Staff members were genuinely friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. The lobby and common areas are sleek, inviting, and perfect for relaxing or getting work done. ☕💼
Bonus points for the convenience — great location near the ferry, subway, and all the LIC hotspots. Breakfast and on-site amenities made life super easy, whether I was in “relax mode” or exploring the city.
If you want a spot that feels upscale, modern, and utterly NYC-cool, this is it. I’m giving it five stars with a standing ovation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟🏙️

Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Long Island recently and overall it was… an experience with a few plot twists.

First, the good stuff: the room itself was a decent size, which in hotel terms means I could open my suitcase and still walk around without performing Olympic-level gymnastics. The bed was comfortable, the space was clean, and everything generally looked well kept.

Now for the adventure portion of the stay.

It rained while we were there, so naturally we asked the front desk about umbrellas. Apparently umbrellas at this hotel are a limited-edition collectible item because they had already run out by 8am. So instead of borrowing one like a normal traveler, we ended up buying our own in the rain, which felt less like hospitality and more like a side quest.

Housekeeping also decided to take one of the days off from visiting our room one day, and they only came at 5pm to ask if we wanted our room made up.

As for amenities… well, let’s just say the room believed in minimalism. Very minimalism. If hotel rooms could do yoga, this one would be a minimalist guru.

One surprisingly nice perk: there’s a water station on the gym level where you can refill bottles. Honestly, that little hydration oasis became the MVP of the stay.

Overall: a solid room size, decent comfort, and a nice water refill station — but bring your own umbrella, keep expectations modest on amenities, and maybe give housekeeping a friendly reminder you exist.

Honestly it’s a practically perfect stay. Less than a 5 minute walk to the subway that can get you practically anywhere in the city in less than 15-20 minutes, amazing service, and frankly surprisingly amazing rooms! The shower was phenomenal with a really neat temperature gauge and perfectly pressured. But truthfully the staff was a big highlight with them going out of their way to get us in a room as quickly as possible when we showed up early. Also would recommend the market just next door for some amazing hot food and smoothies. Definitely would recommend it for anyone looking to see a few shows in the city and wanting to save money on staying in the city.

We had such an amazing experience at this hotel. We stayed for 1 night for a concert. It was conveniently located with public transportation easily accessible and a parking garage next door. We arrived early and they didn't have any rooms available. They were happy to hold our luggage for us so we could explore. When it began to rain they were so kind about letting us hang out in the lobby then were able to get us in the next available room. The room was comfortable, beautiful, and clean. The fitness center was easily accessible and had decent equipment. I would 100% stay here again.

Typical Marriott expected quality. If you’re looking to do business meetings in the lobby, the seating area and low lighting isn’t great for that. No bathroom in the main floor. Food options are very limited in the hotel.

My family and I stay at this hotel every time we come to New York and we love the amenities, location to restaurants, and the subway. The staff, Tristan was very helpful during our stay and always had an inviting smile on his face. We will come back here again and recommend to others stays.

Hotel is very close to 2 subways stops Great location for transportation to Manhattan. Rooms with a view only have king beds so if you're traveling with children don't expect to have a room with the view of Manhattan. All rooms are extremely small but this is typical for New York City. Staff is extremely helpful and very accommodating. Ask for a room that is away from the subway or a higher floor for less subway noise. We arrived extremely late, at 2:00 a.m., and Donia was very helpful. The neighborhood is safe.

I had a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott! The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what truly made my experience stand out was the amazing staff. I want to give a special shoutout to Donia and Dianna — both were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Their warm energy and genuine hospitality made me feel right at home. Whether I had a question or just needed a quick recommendation, they were always happy to assist with a smile.
