Mediocre. Yes, location is good, but then plenty of other hotels in a block radius. Nothing really exceptional about the place. For the price there have to be better places nearby, plan on checking one of them out next time I'm in town. Being "clean" is not getting a place 5 stars in my book. Sink and shower would not drain. Staff seemed to be bickering to each other a lot. Guessing weak management. The doormen were friendly, rest of staff not so much really. Food itself wasn't bad. Would not stay here again.

Good price for location and service! Here's a few things, valet parking only ($38) so that's an added expense. Also, you can "check in early" but you won't be able to get to your room until 3 pm. We arrived around 1 and they kept our bags for free and we were able to get exploring around Philly. We usually only stay a night, so if you're looking to do some more exploring, past the noon checkout time, you can keep your car in the valet until 5 pm. Bags, you say? For $1, I repeat, ONE DOLLAR/bag, they will store your luggage safely until you are ready to depart.
As for the room, we've always had a clean and well-appointed room. They're not the largest, but they're very nice and again, for the location and amenities of the hotel, they're great. Would not really recommend the restaurant Urbantenotecha(?), they're good for breakfast, but otherwise... not so much. Take advantage of your location and visit some better offerings.
Have not used the Audi A8 car service, but it's free and we have a room booked next month, plan on using it to get to our destination. If you have questions as to how far the car service goes, be sure to ask when you are booking the room. I asked and after a few minutes, they verified they would take us there.
Overall, check this place out. It's not the absolute best, but for the price, is well located, well appointed, and has a generally friendly/helpful staff. Don't be too snobby, lol.
UPDATE: I believe they raised the price for the bag check to $2-3 per bag.

I recently had to venture to Philly due to eye cancer and had care at the Wills Eye Institute. Obviously not a trip for pleasure but the hotel staff here made this unfortunate situation incredibly better. The Front staff was great, friendly, cheerful and incredibly helpful, thank you to Roshanda and Allison for always having a smile to greet us and offer assistance. The bell man Brandon was great as well and made us feel like we were friends for years with his hospitality and friendly banter every day. The chauffer drivers Roman and Parker were equally great, very personable, sympathetic and caring. They all also had great recommendations for dining and entertainment. They have earned a customer for life each time I need to go back to Philly for sure!!

I usually won't go online to write negative reviews, but the service at Latham is unusual. I travel and stay at a hotel in numerous cities every week due to work. I booked the stay at Latham via a 3rd party hotel app that charges you for the room ahead of time. When I got to the front desk to check in, the gentlemen started to get nervous and angry at me stating there were no rooms and the 3rd party app was to call them first. I asked the gentlemen if he could not find a room, it would not be a serious problem because there were numerous hotels within 1 block away. At this point, he stated he would find me a room and would park my car for free at their garage. 47 minutes later, I was in my room. I was upset it took so long, but rationalized that the gentlemen really went out of his way to get me a room. The room was standard and clean. No complaints here.
A week has passed and I check my bank account and not only has the 3rd party app charged me for the room, but also the hotel. I call the hotel and am transferred to accounting. (4th person I was transferred to). Politely, I ask that they refund one of the charges because I was charged twice. After a long hold, representative stated she saw the mistake and would correct only a portion because I had parked my car. I politely stated that it was offered free of charge. She stated she could not verify that and I would not get a refund for it. Politely again, I asked her to verify with the gentlemen that worked that shift and once verified she could go ahead and credit me the parking. She stated she would not because it was policy.
The gentlemen I am, I did not raise my voice at her once. I will now call my bank and waste another 30 mins of my life after this 5 minute review.

I just got to the latham in Philly, it's raining cats and dogs outside. I just arrived here and was not expecting rain. I notice/see that there's complementary umbrella's in the lobby for use by patrons. I was greeted warmly, checked in promptly. I get situated in my room and go back downstairs and the staff is friendly, the areas are clean, it's happy hour and I'm starving. I tried an appetizer and a burger. Now, I know this is not a RESORT, and I only make that note to say that my expectations are not at the 5 star level. (I think of 5 star as white glove treatment). I only mention that due to some other posts that say not to go here. I think it's very nice, appropriately at 3.5 to 4 stars, it's not a large staffed resort, but it is a nicely staffed, clean, pleasant experience. I would stay here again with my wife.
