27 State Street Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 27 State Street. Donna was a fabulous hostess, and saw to our every need even before we were aware that the need existed. She was incredibly helpful, referring us to excellent local attractions and events. Our room was comfortable, located conveniently close to everything we wanted to do in Charleston, and our breakfast was outstanding. All in all a wonderful time!

Donna is the absolute best! My husband and I come here for Valentines each year and she is truly the best host and we love the location which is within walking distance to everything.

The Inn is beautiful. It's so quiet and comfortable there. Donna is a treasure. She makes you feel like you are staying with family. She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. She even brought us little silver bowls for our puppy since we had forgotten ours. I enjoyed talking with her, she was very helpful in telling us history of the Inn and also in getting around Charleston. I can't wait to go back!

The rooms were beautiful, very comfortable, and very clean. The host Donna was an absolute gem, she was one of the kindest people I've met. There is a lot of great things to say about this B&B. The breakfast was amazing, I am not the type to go outside of my comfort zone with foods but seeing how Mrs. Donna presented it I couldn't resist. She makes you feel almost like a princess, it feels like a tea party for the people that are a child at heart (myself). Could not recommend this place more, you defiantly won't regret it.

The bed and breakfast has a great location for this weekend get away. Close walking distance to everything and we didn’t have to use our vehicle at all. Donna was so efficient with making sure we had directions on arrival, the stay, and booking our dinner plans nightly, and helping to unload and load once leaving. The Master Suite was very accommodating and made the stay for our dog very inviting too. We would return to this destination again.

This place was fantastic for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. Donna is a fantastic host, full of fantastic suggestions for things to do and places to eat. A great location, a 5-10 min walk from virtually anything down town. Parking garage 2 blocks away if you need to travel. Breakfast was delicious every day (can't say enough about the coffee), and the atmosphere eating in the veranda is the perfect start to the day, and fantastic place for a night cap to enjoy your wine. Personal touches like a bottle of wine, bottles of water, and a sound machine to drown out the little bit of occasional noise from the city. We look forward to staying again, and you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Had a wonderful stay at 27 State Street. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast everyday was delicious, and Donna was so helpful with recommendations of things to do, restaurants to go to, and even booked a walking tour for us. The location was wonderful - easy to walk everywhere and was very close to so many great restaurants and sites. I would highly recommend 27 State Street to anyone visiting Charleston, and will definitely stay again on our next trip!

This place is a gem! Great walking distance to everything in Charleston's French Quarter, delicious breakfast options, and a clean, comfy and quiet room. The best part of the stay was the manager Donna. She was one of the nicest people we've ever met and gave us plenty of recommendations and insights about the area.
