Hotel Derek Galleria

We attended a friend's wedding. We stayed at the hotel as well. It was awesome because it is pet-friendly, and we got to bring our dog. The dog 'lounge' was a small area of fake grass, right along the busy road, but it was secure. My dog wasn't fond of it, however. The drinks in the bar were good. We had a king-sized bed, and it was very comfy. The rooms were quiet, and staff was very attentive. There's pay parking or paid valet parking available.

Nice, weird decor. Bar was fun. Right by galleria. I wasn't a fan of the lobby music. Modern dance music. Probably cool for alot of people though. Rooms were dope , foods dope. Go rockets

Nice lobby. Very professional and modern. However, check in was disorganized and my reservation was not what I was told it would be. But they made up for it. $200 per day per room hold on my card in addition to paying for my room is excessive but tolerable. Room was nice and clean. I'm not sure I would stay here again. But it was a good experience overall.

I had a pleasant experience at Hotel Derek. Convenience is a must here. The hotel is located directly off the highway, which was good for me. I must admit the showers did back up as some other posters mentioned..but it was never too big an issue for me. I had a spacious king room and an amazingly comfy bed. If you need a nice hotel and the convenience to get back on the road, Hotel Derek is perfect.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The rooms are super trendy and I love the bench seat right next to the window. The bed was comfy and the room was well appointed. The gym is top notch and offers chilled water, towels and apples. The pool is AWESOME! It's the perfect temperature and has a beautiful waterfall. They play movies on the wall by the pool but we weren't able to see it. They have a bar and a breakfast buffet, which was delicious but very expensive. They also have a multi level parking garage which is very convenient. My only complaint is that the bath faucets aren't secured on well. Mine nearly came off and my colleague's faucet actually shot off the wall.

Very clean nice up to date hotel. Friendly staff, nice lounge area and bar, good drinks, beautiful view of galleria. Would definitely come here again.

Great place to stay. Everything in the city is at the tip of your fingers. The area and the location makes it a " BIG TEXAS " stay. Plus they have a fast check in process with outstanding front desk service.

I reserved a room for my cousin's wedding day so that they could get ready, take photos, and spend their wedding night. Early check-in is based on day of availability and isn't ever a guarantee. We weren't able to secure an early check-in over the phone, but upon arriving 90 minutes before the ceremony to get the bride dressed Taylir and Angel saved the day. They immediately jumped on finding us any room just to make sure we were going to make the ceremony on time and dressed. They went above and beyond to ensure my cousin's wedding went off without a hitch. It was the perfect location from all that's around in the Galleria. The level of customer service from Hotel Derek makes the reservation well worth going with the boutique hotel and forgoing all of my loyalty program hotels. The bride was stunning and I'm so grateful to the amazing women at Hotel Derek for helping my family celebrate the joyous occasion.

We had a great experience for the one night we were here in town for a wedding. The hotel is stylish, the staff is super friendly and they were able to give us a ride to and from the venue of no charge (but don't forget to tip, don't be that guy) due to it being within 3 mile radius. Would definitely stay here again when in Houston!
