Sleep Inn & Suites New Braunfels in New Braunfels

My brother made reservations for two rooms (they had double beds). He put the names in his and my husband's. My husband decided he couldn't go. So I asked my step-father if he wanted to go (We were going to Wurstfest) We arrived for check in about 9:30 pm after a day at the festival. The young woman asked for our ID's for the two rooms. Because I wasn't my husband, though my card has the same last name as my husband's, she wasn't going to let me have the room, even though my brother with the other room made the reservations. She wouldn't let us cancel the one room to put it in my name. I asked her to contact her supervisor, and she replied he is not present. I told her to call him. She finally contacted her supervisor after my brother asked. The supervisor gave her permission to give me my room. I went to my hotel room. I began searching for my ID. I went back down and asked the girl if she still had my ID. She said, "No". I asked her to look in the back room where she made the call to her supervisor. She went and looked and said. "No." I went back to my room and told my stepfather. He went down to the desk and came back with my brother's ID. My brother had accidentally picked up my ID, but the desk girl had not said anything to me. She was obviously very inexperienced, but I would add there was a lack of training in how she was to resolve different issues that can arise with customers on a day to day basis. She also lacked the personality to greet people with the slightest amount of warmth and friendliness. Aside from this important front desk debacle, the rooms were clean. The breakfast menu had good offerings, of fruits, cereals, yogurt, juices and I especially liked the Texas shaped waffle making machines. But they need to train their employees better.
