We stayed in town for the Formula 1 race this weekend. So I’ll start by saying the prices when we booked are likely not reflective of what they generally are and what our expectations should have been.

With that said, here is my experience:

The positives are that the staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was also very hearty, including eggs and sausage, not just pastries.

The room, however, definitely needed some more attention. The sheets were stained and had holes. When we requested service for the room (which was upon request only) they did not bother changing the sheets or making the bed or providing fresh toiletries. But, they did provide clean towels as a bare minimum.

The room was also generally grimy, with stained and dirty walls in multiple places, dirty floors, stained shower, and a lingering wet-dog odor.

We ended up purchasing our own sheets for the bed from WalMart and gritted our teeth through the weekend.

So, if you made the same mistake booking this place we did, you’ll live.

But, I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere (or at least getting some rock solid travelers insurance that might let you back out after you see your room).

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. My boyfriend reserved my room weeks in advance and paid the required security deposit, only to have our reservation canceled on the day of arrival. We was informed last minute that the hotel was “fully booked,” which makes absolutely no sense given that our reservation had already been confirmed.

Canceling a guest on the day of arrival—after taking their deposit—is completely unacceptable and extremely stressful, especially when travelers are relying on having a place to stay. No reasonable explanation or alternative accommodation was offered.

This shows a serious lack of organization and professionalism. If you value reliability and peace of mind, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere, because this hotel cannot be trusted to honor confirmed reservations.

TV is about 2 weeks from completely going out. There were 5 large round pixel outages in the screen
On day two I was awoken because I had ate a bug in my sleep. The object in my throat would not come up but you could feel it's shape (oblong)@ and how hard it was through the skin on my neck.

Toilet was stopped up. I finally the next day went to the desk and I'll asked for maintenance, but the desk man just laughed. So I askd for a plunger which he readily gave to me. And gave me a bag to put it in when I was done. I was the closest room to the desk. And it was around 8 pm.
I assumed he'd ask to do the plunging his self but he never even thought about that. Just plopped his self back down in the office chair and went back to his phone.

I spilled a bit of my tea in the front hallway of my room and decided a quick pick up with a towel would be better than tracking it around. I mopped the whole hallway. The towel was deep black when I was done.

When I first walked into the room, I really liked it. Spacious, great separation of living space vs bedroom space but someone is not keeping up with all it takes to run a proper hotel/motel. Ball dropped on this one.

The room was not clean when we arrived. Due to sheer exhaustion we stayed. The toilet was really dirt, the TV and dresser stand had stains all over them. The sheets and bedding were clean but the sheet had an iron burn area on it. It was a highway facing room and you could hear every sound from the highway. There was a bug in the bathroom and evidence of dead previous bugs in the bathroom (legs and wing carcass left behind). When we tried to move the next day because of various issues they were completely booked up. I understood that, it was a race weekend, but at over $300 a night in there should have been some sort of room discount offered or something. The food was okay but limited. Overall, the staff was the best thing this hotel had going for it. They were nice and tried to be helpful. I would not recommend staying here. There’s better hotels in the area. The only reason we stayed was due to the limited occupancy in the area due to the F1 Race and the Garth Brooks concert!
