Holiday Beach Hotel Danang in Da Nang

I was quite disappointed with my check-in experience.

I arrived one hour before the official check-in time and waited until 2 PM. At that time, the front desk staff informed me that there was a problem with the bathroom in my room and asked me to wait a little longer. However, I was eventually given a standard room with a view facing an abandoned building and twin beds, even though I had booked a Junior Suite Ocean View room.

I had to go back to the front desk to inform them that I was given the wrong room. The staff did not seem surprised and quickly handed me a new key card. This made me uncomfortable and wondering whether this was a deliberate attempt to allocate my reserved room to someone else and move me to a cheaper room instead. I truly hope that was not the case, but the situation did not feel reassuring.

I chose this hotel based on its five-star rating. In reality, the overall quality and service felt closer to a three-star hotel. The promotional photos showing a large building next to the hotel were also misleading, as that building turned out to be completely abandoned. The actual hotel building is quite narrow.

For the price I paid, the quality did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, I do not feel that it was worth the cost, and I would not return.
