I’ll be honest — I was a bit worried before coming here after reading some of the older reviews. But my experience was completely different, in the best way possible!

Staff: The receptionist welcomed me with such a lovely smile, and all the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. 5/5 for their service!

Room: My room was huge, spotless, and had a great view. No dirty towels or bad smells like some reviews mentioned — everything was clean and comfy. 5/5 for the room!

Food: I actually really enjoyed the food — fries, fried chicken, rice, veggies, soup, and tea. It might not suit everyone’s taste, but I liked it. 5/5 again!

The hotel was pretty quiet, almost like I was the only guest, but it didn’t bother me at all. It made the place feel peaceful.

Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again! 👍

I stayed here for three nights on my trip in Sapa. It is a very centrally located hotel and the service from the staff was great, the room was very large and had a great view of the mountains (if you can see it through the mist this time of year). I was really happy with my stay here. The only reason it’s not 5 stars for this 3 star hotel is the breakfast was pretty average but they did the basics like chicken pho really well.

Highly recommend Chapa Dew Hotel for anyone visiting Sapa! The service is excellent, the rooms are fresh and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A big appreciation to Johnny, the manager—he took care of us with genuine hospitality and made sure every detail was perfect throughout our stay. Five stars all the way!

*My review of the stay at this hotel*

I consider this a different experience and I will be fair, mentioning the strengths and weaknesses honestly.

*Pros*
- The hotel’s location is excellent; it’s right in the city centre, in the heart of the shopping street.
- Around the hotel you find restaurants of all kinds—pizza places, Indian restaurants, local eateries—so you can easily find something that suits you.
- Cafés and bars are also plentiful nearby.
- The staff are very friendly; the front‑desk employees speak English.
- Breakfast is good and the service is excellent.

*Cons*
- The room flooring is extremely weak and worn out.
- The room has only one nightstand on the right side of the bed, whereas there should be two.
- There is no refrigerator in the room.
- There is no telephone in the room.
- The bathrooms are very poor; there are signs of moisture on the ceiling and a foul smell in the rooms.
- The doors use old‑style keys instead of card keys.
- Cleanliness is modest.
- There are not enough towels.

Location of this hotel is great. It is right in the center of town with endless food options. One of the pluses is the fact that they allowed us to check in 3 hours earlier than 2pm check in time. Service is kind of hit or miss depending on who you talked to and mood of that said person.
We paid for suite with mountain view but got a triple with partial mountain view. It wasn't dirty but also wasn't super clean. Our main complaint is the towel situation. No matter how many new towels ordered, it all smelled funky and left you wanting to shower again.
Other than that, it is what you pay for. Two star hotel in center of town.

There were 8 of us in the group. All of us were given a room on the 6th floor that has no elevator. I explained nicely to the hotel receptionist (on duty on 31 Aug 24, 4pm, her name started with T) that I injured my leg and would like to have a room on elevator floor. She said NO and refuse to change it at all without explanation. She just asked me to try. Given no choice, I dragged my injured leg up the stairs to the 6th floor after the elevator stopped on the 5th floor. The room was average but clean, the view from the balcony was laundry from the adjacent building. I didn’t really mind the view since I can close the curtains to shut the horrible sight off. Importantly, I figured out that I can’t be climbing the stairs again to prevent aggravating my injury. I went down to the reception to request for a change of room. The same receptionist argued rudely back that I didn’t reject the room earlier. I was shocked! Then reluctantly she gave me the key to a room on the elevator floor and asked me to move the luggages myself! I am sharing this to alert travellers considering this hotel to be aware that the elevator doesn’t serve every floor and Deluxe with Balcony may not have a view you like. Finally, I would not conclude that one poor customer focus receptionist reflects the whole hotel management style, just to be fair. I just counted myself unlucky to have met that receptionist.

3* hotel but I give 1 more star for credit. Good location, good service, good accommodation. Just minus for wifi signal for ones who need it. Price ranges are acceptable. And they are going to renovate their hotel. Suggestion: they should have another hotel board at the opposite site for easier recognition

Great place to stay. Close to everything and friendly staff. Management quickly organised a new room once they knew there was an issue. Would definitely stay here again.
