Cheap and cheerful, for the price it's fine, clean inside, I've read so many reviews about the noise, and it is an issue but you're staying in the hustle and bustle, the breakfast isn't the most spectacular, neither is the coffee. Staff are friendly and overall had a good stay here
Front desk Stuff can speak fluent English and polite.not recommend if u are light sleeper. Noise from the street can last until late night.
I stayed at the Meraki and another hotel around the corner while in HCMC and this was definitely the worse of the two. The location is convenient and if you want to literally be in the middle of all the action, you've picked the right place. It's noisy and rambunctious right ousdie the hotel. I unfortunately had a hard time sleeping due to the noise, but that's not the hotel's fault! The staff were very friendly, but the rooms are definitely showing their age with lots of wear and tear, and things like the A/C unit and hot water were finnicky at best. Breakfast is on the roof so there is a nice view but the food was unbearably salty so we ate elsewhere. Overall I wouldn't stay again as it's not really my kind of place, but I see how others would love it especially for the price.
I booked Meraki Hotel at 198 Bui Vien in Ho Chi Minh, VN online and booked based on the pictures of the rooms displayed online. When I checked in, room 602 has no windows and the room was very small and bared. I could breath and called and said I didn’t book this room and I can’t breathe in that room. They wouldn’t change and wouldn’t refund to me. I spoke with Mr Thanh - manager on duty and he said that he has not received the payment via online booking thus he can’t refund. I booked this a week before my arrival. I moved to another hotel and called my online booking and they called to manager and he would not refund. I think posting a beautiful trendy room and the reality is not event 1/5 of the picture is a scam and fraudulent. I lost faith in the online booking of not verifying the hotels they partnered with and allowing the consumer to get sucked in to my similar dilima is a crime.
Decent place to spend a couple of nights. Walking distance to the city. Right on Bui Vien so it is expectedly noisy. If that is something that will keep you awake at night, probably find a place on another street. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is alright and it has a nice view from the rooftop. Decent place to have a sit.
We stayed here two nights and were very happy wth everything, especially for 24$ a night. The staff was kind and knew enoigh English to help answer questions, they assisted in booking day tours, negotiated a price for a moto bike and eventually our bus to go to Cambodia. Nice free breakfast of breads, juice, tea coffee fresh fruit and complimentary, hot breakfast items made to order. It was pretty darn quiet considering it was on the exciting crazy Bien Vu street, which is a Saturday and Sunday night must see!
