Comodo Nha Trang Hotel in Nha Trang

I can't believe this hotel got 4-star reviews. Who's behind those, I wonder? Paying 400 a night during Chinese New Year was bad enough, but even at its regular 200 price, it can't hold a candle to the Komodo Hotel across the street. The hygiene is absolutely terrible! My kid found some black crumbs on the bedside table, which I initially thought was dirt, but it turned out to be softened Oreo bits left by a previous guest... The sheets and duvet covers were stained all over... The bathroom didn't have a showerhead on the wall, just a handheld one in the tub, and it was way too short if you're even a little tall... Speechless 😓.

Plus, I booked for two nights but my plans changed, so I tried to cancel one. The Ctrip app said the hotel wouldn't allow it. When I got to the front desk, they told me to ask the booking app. Talk about being given the runaround! Forget it, I'm blacklisting this hotel 😳. I was totally fooled by the photos in the reviews; aside from the lobby, the other pictures of the rooms showed all sorts of stains. Just look at the photos, it's like a rough-finished apartment that's been painted over. The bathroom ceiling was even falling apart. The only advantage it has over the Komodo is a small balcony 🌚, and that's it. No wonder there were still rooms available on the first and second day of Chinese New Year 😢, it's because it's so bad and overpriced.
