Well, so. A sanatorium and that says it all. We live in the first building, in a room with a stained glass window. The room is frankly tired. The chair was burned, by what? I don’t know. The room is large enough for two, it would be cramped for three. We went with the hope that we would eat tasty and varied food, but somehow it didn’t work out with either one. The food is all monotonous, bland, without spices. After 5 days of rest, we ate through force. The tablecloths are stained and torn. The only thing that made us happy was the view of the sea from that “restaurant”. The plates are located in niches, opposite people’s feet, the plates are not washed and rotavirus didn’t pass us by. And not only us. The beach. The beach is part of the city, so there were people on the sun loungers not only from the hotel. No one really sits for this. Two concrete stairs lead to the beach. It seems that they are no longer safe. There are cracks, there are rusty parts. All sorts of junk is stored under the stairs: pipes, old umbrellas and other crap. It spoils the view. This is generally the difference between Abkhazia, very beautiful nature and a very low level of service, absolute indifference of many people. They expect that Russian people have never eaten anything sweeter than carrots. They saved up for a two-week vacation over the year and will rest like that. But it’s not all that bad. Let’s write about the good points: the spa area. Very good, a large selection of medical procedures. I took a general massage. The therapists are Polina and Daria. Very good, I felt the result. I also had a facial massage from a cosmetologist. I liked that they didn’t push anything extra on me and didn’t sell me anything extra. Thank you, I left with new supplies of health. Also, on the first floor of the hotel there is a wonderful girl - Lilia. Travel agent. We took 3 excursions from Lilia. The first one was an introductory tour of Gagra. Good, but very fast. If it were possible, I would have gone a little earlier, during daylight hours and so that there would be fewer people, otherwise there are many groups at one time. The bus was comfortable, a guide was included, while you are driving they tell you the history of the city, important events. The second excursion is the organ in Pitsunda. This delight for the ears does not need any comments. We were a little unlucky with the weather. It was raining, so we were not able to see the temple territory in detail. But the lecture about the temple and the organ was interesting, with many details. Not difficult and not boring. The concert itself lasted an hour and 15 minutes. I thought that it would be difficult to listen to such music for a long time, but everything was in one breath. There was not only music, but also several additional arias. The sound and acoustics are beyond praise. The third excursion to Lake Ritsa. I sincerely recommend, if possible, to take an individual one. We were not taken to many different stores, they did not impose on us to buy anything. We could stop on request, in any safe places. You decide for yourself: how long to walk, how long the stops are, if you can eat somewhere. The driver will take you if you ask. I was looking for such perfume in the Russian "Golden Apple" - I did not find it. I found it here, but took a new scent for myself.
