The Wanderers Hostel in Shkoder

Honestly soooo grateful for this hostel, they were so so so accommodating and helpful with our entire stay! We stayed for one night here before we went to valbona to do the hike to Theth. They sorted all of our transport out for us and we paid them. They let us keep our suitcase here for free too whilst we were in valbona/theth. When we got back, they helped us book a taxi to our Airbnb we had booked to stay in! They were just so so friendly and helpful!! Really nice chilled and welcoming environment, gorg lil hostel 💛 thanks so much for being grand!!

Hostel was that good and friendly we ended up cancelling our flights to stay longer. There's plenty to do around the city and the workers make booking stuff very easy. Most of all the beer is unreal and only €1.50

Great value for price In this Hostel. Breakfast and dinner were very good for a Hostel. Bar also had a good selection of drinks and cocktails. 6-person dorm felt a little crowded when it was full.

Great location of the hostel and really good events, breakfast and dinner. We arrived with a free traditional dinner and a karaoke night happening.
Price is reasonable for what you get, especially since the location is super central.

Only bummer is that I encountered empty toilet paper twice and that the water pump (I guess?) in the second building is very loud throughout the whole night but I guess there’s not much to do about that besides better insulation.
But all in all you get what you pay for and I feel I’ve gotten more than expected here still.

The room was loud at night as it was right on the busy street but it’s just the luck of the draw.

This hostel was great for meeting people. They are super great at organising the trip from shkoder to valbona to theth, as if you tried to do all that yourself it would be super confusing. It was great to have breakfast and dinner included with a variety of food, it was simple and basic and made it easy for people with dietary requirements. Prior to booking I wasn’t aware that my room would be in another building about 5 mins away so be aware of that but it doesn’t offer any inconvenience. The staff are really accommodating when you have bookings there such as explaining shkoder and the logistics of the hike. Upon my return from the hike they helped me book at taxi which is also very convenient. However, I came back an hour before my taxi as I had been walking around for eight hours and asked if I could wait there for that hour, it was a harsh no and told I should grab my bags now and go. I understand that they have rules surrounding the garden area for guests but this was late at night and only for an hour maximum and made me disappointed as before you’ve paid them they are very accomodating, but after not so much.

We spent one night here our first night in Albania. The owner was great at communicating with me in South Africa before we left home and he booked all our bus and ferry tickets for the alps. He also helped us arrange a rental car. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The family room was clean and quiet. We could leave our luggage here when we went to the alps and our rental car was delivered there when we returned from theth. Great location in the center of town.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Hands down. The staff were amazing. Shoutout to Klaidi especially, what a legend (gave me way too much raki). They are so friendly and help you with any request possible. They gave us recommendations to eat and what to see in Shkoder, provided us breakfast in the mornings, helped us with bike rentals at the hostel and provided a lively experience every night which made meeting new people easy. The bar and common area was so cool. cheap drinks and an awesome outdoor area which had music every night (but not too loud) and offered different cuisines every night (for a price). Furthermore everything extra you purchased, beer, food, bikes, all goes on a tab which you pay at the end of your stay. Finally, the best thing about this place is the trip to the Albanian Alps that they organise. They organize everything for you, transport by bus and ferry and accommodation in both Theth and Valbonna. One of the best experiences I've had in my life. They even helped me with what hostel to stay at in Tirana. I loved the staff here they really made my trip and stay amazing. I wish them all the best.
