Onufri Hotel SPA in Golem

Visited Albania for the first time for a family holiday and stayed at Onufri Hotel — and overall, we had a wonderful experience! The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lovely swimming pool right in front of the building, which was perfect for relaxing.

The room service was excellent — daily cleaning and fresh bedding were provided, as long as you put up the “CLEAN” sign. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special mention to George, the manager, who was absolutely amazing — so polite, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

The only slight downside was the food. It was nice at first, but after a few days, it started to feel a little repetitive, so we ended up eating out a few times. I was also really looking forward to using the spa, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, but unfortunately, it was out of service during our visit. Hopefully, it will be open next time!

Overall, it was a great stay — lovely hotel, fantastic staff, and a relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely consider coming back once the spa is up and running again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just heading home from our five night stay and I want to say a massive thank you to the owner George him and his lovely family we’re so welcoming and truly made our trip special. The hotel is beautiful and makes you feel like you have gone back in time to when gods and goddesses roamed. Unfortunately we came just as the season had closed so I don’t think we really got the full experience but it was still lovely. Meals are basic but get the job done. Prices are affordable and the girls working throughout the hotel are absolutely lovely. Thank you George! See you in five years when you own the whole city !

Rooms: the shower is absolutely inconvenient, it does not close and then the whole floor is in water, everything that is put in the refrigerator becomes cold, but wet. you can not change the air conditioner temperature.
Service: the staff is very friendly, the owner is also very nice. the staff is really 10/10. But the rooms are cleaned rather superficially and poorly during your stay.
Location: the hotel is 7 minutes from the sea, from 10 to 19:00 you can be taken to the sea for free.
Food: the food is normal, quite tasty, but very monotonous. All the time the same, but no one will get poisoned.
Bar: if you have all inclusive, then the alcohol is quite diluted, if not all inclusive, then no. The bar is quite varied, but all inclusive is open until 22:00.
Spa: it does not work.
Pool and the area around it: everything is clean, the pool is cleaned in the morning every day, it looks good, the area around it is also clean and everything is cleaned. The umbrellas are not in very good condition, but it does not interfere with the rest.

The hotel is a solid four, special thanks to all the staff. But the reception works rather poorly, and they do not help at all in solving problems.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days with the all-inclusive package. Overall, the hotel left a mostly positive impression: the exterior is beautiful, the pool is cleaned every morning, the staff is friendly, the food is decent, and the rooms are clean.
However, there were some downsides: the all-inclusive bar is only free until 10:00 PM — after that, all drinks are charged. The food is quite repetitive. There is no entertainment program, and the same music plays throughout the day. The spa is not working.
Overall, I would give it a solid 4 out of 5. A great place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

Positive: Our plane was late and we arrived at the hotel late...but the staff and the owner were waiting for us with dinner, which was very nice!!! The guys at the reception helped change our rooms so that they were next to each other. Thank you. The hotel is very nice, modern rooms with balconies, comfortable beds and the children slept on normal beds, not on folding beds!! The rooms were cleaned every day and towels were changed every day too, the beds were always neatly made. Even once the cleaners took my dry clothes from the balcony and put them on the bed - thank you! Soap and shampoo were replenished as needed. The food is monotonous, sometimes they cook something new, but there is always something to choose from and you will not be hungry, the children are also happy))And but for the money you pay for the hotel, it's decent food ))The dishes are clean!!! The staff is wonderful, friendly girls, always smiled at everyone, neat, the tables were cleaned on time. The poor things run around all day on the heat!! If the hotel owner reads this, I'll say that they deserve an award))!!The pool is clean! I have no complaints about the staff, they are not Europeans, so cooking dishes that you are not used to in taste and appearance is a feat!!!
A few negative points in the hotel: There are only two types of juice for breakfast, if you come late, you won't have anything left)) The coffee and all the hot drinks in the machine are tasteless, but if you really want to, you can drink it. I don't know why, but the last two days of our stay the water smelled of chemicals and all the hot drinks, respectively... Other drinks that are included in the all inclusive must be taken elsewhere, which is not very convenient to go here and there to get drunk, I feel uncomfortable.(( And finally... more than once I witnessed how the owner scolds the cooks in front of his guests, and on the last day of our stay he made such a scandal with them, he shouted hysterically that it could be heard on the street!!!! I wanted to protect them from him ((This is not fair! As I already wrote, they are all wonderful, maybe they make mistakes somewhere, but we are all human!!!!!! Take this into account, Mr. Director. We need this ruined the mood(( and the employees too....Maybe you don't appreciate them enough, so find others among your population, although they are unlikely to work as well...!
But I definitely RECOMMEND the hotel!!! The owner always tries to please his customers)) Thank you 🏖️💦☺️

A beautiful hotel located close to the sea. The lack of a beach is not a problem. You can use the sun loungers of other hotels. Very friendly service with staff who supported the staff very often. You could even sit down and talk to him. (Greetings to the owners - I didn't smell this water because there was something with whom, yes, I checked the nose or the heat, because according to Mom for a child. I hope I didn't offend) 😉.Tasty food, everyone can find something for themselves. Pool large and clean. The only thing that can be done by sticking to the brand, ,,Janusze" from Poland mistook Turkey for Albania. It was a shame what to do and look ... Summing up - targeting those who want to be safe, have a pleasant assessment.

Great service, very helpful staff and a very nice pair of owners. The pool at the hotel is very clean and cool and the food they serve is really good too! Very family friendly place, i recommend it for anyone who's thinking of coming to Durres. The beach is close to the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a nice and quiet place, close to a large promenade with a lot of shops where you can buy both groceries and local specialties. Rooms clean and spacious. The owner was very nice and helpful. Service and support excellent! I recommend.
