As early in season none of the swimming pools were open. Neither was the rooftop bar. Again when asked when due to be open very vague responses.
On arrival we were told ‘over the next week’. On departure 6 days later still not open.We had not been warned in advance so that was hugely disappointing.
Good room, very clean, nice linen, But pillows a bit lumpy. Great room cleaning efficient and friendly.
Front of house manager friendly and helpful and although front desk staff were helpful when we asked for things like larger robes, they all looked miserable most of the time.
The breakfast selection was good. Seems like very young and inexperienced waiting staff, but supported coached and helped by one of the Maitre D’s - Admiral. He has such great customer service, nothing too much trouble but think he had a mountain to climb trying to train some of the obviously new staff. He is a real asset to the hotel.
Nice lunches and huge choice ( particular mention of tuna and avocado tartare! )
Only one shower behind the private beach, which was pretty old and rusty. It’s a big hotel and dozens of guests on and off the beach all day.
Beach beds and staff all very helpful.
Spa- we had fantastic massages all pretty reasonably priced too. The indoor pool is tiny but well maintained. Gym fairly well stocked and yoga mats provided.
Towelling robes very helpful
Overall a good experiences but with a little more effort for the price it could be an exceptional one. Realistically 4.5 stars
