Flower Hotel & Resort in Golem

Very disappointed with our stay last week. Booked to stay in what looked like a different hotel from the website. We had booked 6 nights at The Flowers hotel with very different photos to what this actual hotel looks like, and this is because we were not staying at the Flowers Hotel, we were located in the sister hotel The Garden. With no prior notice or explanation. I had booked a double room with a balcony and garden view. We had no garden view (no view at all actually) the room was 24° and only the reception staff could amend the temperature. The room and bathroom were dated (nothing like the lovely photo I had when booking the room options of bright and white colours, ours was brown and dark). Our sink was stained with a broken plug. Our TV did not work and after promising a replacement the next day we had to ask again - 48 hours later it was replaced. We only saw one restaurant and there were no bars open in the hotel. The breakfast setting was poor. We had to ask for a clean table / set up table and ask for coffee every morning, no one served you or asked if everything was OK. We had a limited menu option on the first day then a limited buffet option for the rest of the week. The rooms were clean and the pool area was nice. Our bedding and towels were changed daily. But every day they left the balcony door open. We had an evening meal a couple of nights in their only restaurant which was lovely. But I agree with other reviews that the website is very misleading and photos don't do justice at all. The Spa was a disappointment with mouldy beds and nothing like the lovely photos on your website. The bathroom area within the spa was not private and only one shower available. The locks on the changing rooms were broken and no lock on the shower door either.  I would not recommend a stay here without ensuring that your accommodation is at the correct hotel.

From the very beginning, our stay has been disappointing for several reasons:
- Unprofessional check-in experience – Upon arrival, staff members were shouting at each other at the front desk.
- ⁠No room key provided – We were not given a key at check-in and were told to rely on the maid to let us in and out of our room until a key was available.
- ⁠Misleading information about dining options – The hotel is advertised as having three restaurants included in the all-inclusive package, but in reality, only one is available to us.
- ⁠Food quality issues – At breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the food is consistently cold unless we arrive the second it is put out.
- ⁠Poor drink selection and service – Only three basic cocktails are offered, drinks are only available until 10:00 PM, and there is no table service for drinks during meals — guests must queue themselves.
- ⁠Rude service – Staff have been dismissive and at times rude when approached for simple requests, such as asking for towels.
- ⁠Lack of communication about major disruptions – On day 5 and 6 of our stay, a presidential meeting is being hosted at the hotel. No advance notice was given, and were not able to use the hotel parking (despite using it every day previously) and must enter and exit through a back entrance.
- ⁠Spa – The spa desk has been unmanned every time we’ve visited, making it impossible to book any treatments.
- ⁠Beach bar closure on 2 days, we asked the staff member if it could be opened, we were ignored.

We stayed at the Flower Hotel in Golem and had originally booked for 5 nights, but ended up checking out after just 1 night. The hotel was a big disappointment compared to what was advertised online. The photos are very misleading — the “garden hotel” is nowhere near a 5-star standard and is in poor condition, outdated, and not well maintained.

That said, the staff were very kind and helpful, and they did their best to assist us. They moved us to their other, more modern hotel, which was slightly better, and we were able to manage one night there.

Unfortunately, we had already paid for 5 nights, so it was a frustrating experience overall.

Be aware that this hotel is more like a 3-star, or maybe a low 4-star at best — definitely not a luxury stay.
