I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Ilio in Ksamil, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with a cozy, comfortable atmosphere.

The room was spotless and spacious, offering a perfect view of the turquoise sea. It was equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay, including air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a private balcony where I could enjoy the warm Mediterranean evenings.

The location couldn't be better – just a short walk to Ksamil's pristine beaches, perfect for a day of sunbathing and swimming. If you're looking for excellent food, the on-site restaurant offers delicious local dishes that reflect the flavors of Albania. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options.

The hotel also has a beautiful pool area, which was great for a quick dip or to relax in the sun without the crowds. The staff went above and beyond, offering helpful recommendations for local attractions, and making my stay feel personalized.

I highly recommend Hotel Ilio to anyone visiting Ksamil. Whether you're there for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or simply to enjoy the stunning beauty of the Albanian Riviera, this hotel is a true gem!

Although this hotel presents as a ‘boutique’ property, it really isn’t. Room was nicely decorated but very small. Complete lack of storage. One cupboard with 6 hangers. No drawers. Not enough space for two people to hang a weeks worth of clothing.
Bathroom nice but small. Water took ages to heat up and floor flooded every time.
Swimming pool looks nice but was freezing - the sun doesn’t hit it until the afternoon so always cold. Only a handful of sunloungers so this would be an issue in the height of summer.
Breakfast was limited and the cooked food was cold (there is a microwave to reheat).
There is a list of rules by reception which includes not eating/drinking in your room, despite a full size fridge provided! As there is a lack of any other public space on a rainy day you’d be expected to stay in your room with no food/drink!!
A pleasant enough stay for a decent price but wouldn’t return.

We were fortunate not to stay at their hotel, but unfortunately had dinner at their restaurant. We ordered tzatziki, a salad, and two tuna fillets. The tuna took more than 35 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was completely overcooked, dry, and inedible. We returned the plates, only to be told by the manager that “this is how we make it, it’s juicy” — which was blatantly untrue. At that moment it became clear this place is not about hospitality but about exploiting tourists. We paid for the starters and tried to leave, but the manager aggressively demanded payment for the tuna as well. The hotel owner, who we had nothing to do with, came outside, insulted us, and threatened us. The manager also became hostile, even warning us not to write a review. This level of unprofessionalism and intimidation is unacceptable anywhere, let alone in a restaurant claiming to serve quality food. When we asked to call the police, we later learned from another local restaurant that we should have called ourselves — apparently, they call officers they know will side with them. In the end, we were pressured into paying for food that was clearly below standard. This was, without question, the worst dining experience we had in Albania. The food was bad, but what’s worse is the aggressive and dishonest treatment of customers. These people should not be in the hospitality business. They are not here to serve — they are here to rip people off. BE WARNED: AVOID THIS PLACE.

Nice hotel but we arrived late at night and they didnt want to receive us, and they prefered to let us sleep at the street!

The man who was a hotel employee and a mock boss did not let us into the room we booked. We made a reservation through booking.com and came to the hotel and they increased the fee, we accepted that and he said that we will have to pay an extra commission this time, we asked why, go and withdraw cash, otherwise I will not accept it, he said postpone it. We came for our anniversary with my wife but we regretted it very much. The facility may be beautiful in the pictures, but you will be embarrassed to come here. The entrance is small, the rooms are bad, there is only a pool that looks beautiful in the pictures. The hotel has no other number. Do not come, I do not recommend it to anyone

I gave 1 star but if it was 0, that would be too much for this institution.

Without hesitation this is a five star review. Very easy and informative check in with flexibility offered both ways - earlier and later. Excellent price for the area. Superb customer service with an available staff team who are always willing to help out when required. Beautifully appointed rooms - ours was overlooking the pool. Pool area is spotless and very comfortable sun loungers - mattress top quality too. Breakfast was plenty

Best service with the best staff especially Genci was wery welcoming. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast so delicious, and also we had sushi for lunch and it was very yummy.
Will come back again!

Hotel is located in very good place - close to the beaches, rooms are nice and clean. Has its own restaurant - great food and even better staff! We even stayed up to 3-4 AM and they served us with amazing wine! Strongly recommend everyone.
