Very peaceful location with a fantastic host, who couldn’t do enough to help us, very hospitable. We stayed in the larger cabin and it was cosy.
For navigation, follow maps to Iris Guesthouse and join the rocky track leading uphill, you will see signs for ‘VL’.

First of all, don’t use google maps for directions. But if you do, you search for iris bed and breakfast and then take that turn off , rocky road all the way to the end and you’ll find VL guesthouse ran by Oren. It’s the people that make the place! A wonderful welcome, simple, human care for guests, modest, non-binding and relaxing conditions, spacious area. A must-see and make sure. I would recommend visiting especially for nature lovers.

The hosts are super friendly and great people. An hour into our stay they surprised us with a tray of delicious homemade spas. They upgraded us to a nicer, more private room at no cost. The breakfast was great too.
Stayed there several times depend on my work, amazing place, amazing host, amazing service.
i left that place and left my heart there, always looking forward to have chance to go back.

This is a very clean and spatial apartment near the center of Alaverdi with fully equipped furniture and facilities you need, especially suitable for family travelers who want to explore the area’s UNESCO sites as the host can help arrange good driver for you. Thank you, my kind and nice host!
We had a very good room on the first floor with our own washing mashine, bathroom, large kitchen and breakfast in our small but nice living room.
The owner and his family are really friendly people, who are known all over the town.
Room was very clean, worth every Dram we paid and the owner even picked us up from a gas station and helped us to get to a hitchhike-spot down the road.

It was absolutely perfect. Perhaps the best during my trip in Armenia from Gyumri to Meghri and back to Georgia. Room was large, very nice, modern, clean and neat. Very pleasant hosts, they did care. English speaking. Brilliant breakfast. The whole house is very nice and in a great shape. Private parking. All was just great. Reasonably priced. Could recommend.

Clean rooms, propper breakfast and a very friendly host for a fair price. If you plan to visite Alaverdi I highly recommend the Palma B&B. Good hiking can be found close by if you are into that ;)

The city of Alaverdi was very old and the roads are very uncomfortable and full of slit pits but this house guest really is like a paradise in the old city. It shines between very old buildings with beautiful garden yard and beautiful building. The owners were very nice and friendly and all rooms and beds are very clean and smells well
Very clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Bathroom is shared with the host family. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly. Pool didn’t look too inviting, which is why we did not try it. Breakfast was good and plenty.

We had a fantastic experience staying here. The place was cosy and quirky (particularly our wooden cabin living room), the breakfasts and dinner were so lovely and Irene was a charming host.

Wonderful host, who welcomes you in her own house. The vintage-kinda rooms with amazing view will stun you, let alone the food. Amazing place for walking or visiting the monasteries.
The guesthouse owner takes great care to make sure guests are warm and comfortable.
She also helps with any travel you are doing.
You can even contact her and let her know which minibus you are taking to the town nearby and ask her to call the driver to tell him to let you out at the guesthouse.

Initially I considered one night but booked two, and then had to extend because I didn’t want to leave. The kitchen is always open to cook for you and the food is consistently good and affordable. The owner, Irina, truly goes above and beyond to make your stay great. As a solo traveler without a vehicle, the location would have been pretty inconvenient if she weren’t on hand to find me cheap taxis...
The stay was enjoyable to say the least, the old style and antique items displayed throughout the b&b are interesting to see.
The hostess is a nice lady who speaks also english, so it’s nice to have a conversation.
Breakfast is lovely with delicious pancakes and omelettes but for dinner it’s a bit too expensive for the amount of food you get, but there are lovely dinner options in the area ~Zarni...
