ULTIQA Beach Haven At Broadbeach in Gold Coast

Location is great, Both Pool areas are beautiful and modern and inviting. Close walk to shops, bars and food and view from Balcony over the ocean was amazing. But that is where the positives stop.
Our 2 bedroom apartment while it was large and spacious was disgusting. Cannot believe that a room like that is even considered to be rented out to holiday goers. The furniture was so old and disgusting. The Carpet on the floors while not stained was sticky and horrible under foot. 1 of the balcony doors was broken so couldn't use it. There was a large mirrored wall with a giant crack in the mirror. A modern coffee table and plant put in front to try and cover it up. An old worn out leather chair in the corner all cracking and peeling. The Dining table was about 50yrs old, chairs were all stained with paint / lacquer chipped off and peeling. There was a few really old and worn out chairs on the balcony but were so old and weathered we were too scared to sit on them in case they broke and there was no point sitting out there as there was no table to put your cuppa down on in the morning. The bathrooms were so dated and old, water pressure in 1 shower was non existent. The fans were all noisy so couldn't keep them on overnight when it was warm, 1 small air con unit in the apartment couldn't go under 22 deg because it leaked.
All the pictures displayed on the website were nothing like the room we got. If I had seen pics of this room prior we would have stayed elsewhere. If you get given room 15E demand another one as it is not suitable for rentals.
We will probably avoid coming back here as were extremely unhappy for the price we paid.

Room had issues. TV in living area was faulty and we could not change channel or watch foxtel for 1st 7 days of our stay. Paying for rrom with tv not working. Dining chairs where old and covering flaking off making a mess. Dishwasher dispenser broken

Broadbeach is one of our favourite holiday spots and we have stayed in so many places but this one is the only one I have felt the need to write a review.

We paid over $300 a night for a room that felt like a hostel. It has not been updated since the 80’s and is just not good enough as a standard for anyone to stay in. Rusty fittings in the bathroom, carpet stank, all furniture outdated and the oven didn’t work.

I complained and was told there’s 3 levels of apartments, we got the one that had never been renovated. Surely Management would be sick of the complaints. There must be a standard that all owners need to adhere to and if not they are not meeting the “4 Star” rating. This is a 2 Star at best.

The facilities, pools, sauna, spa, have all been renovated and the indoor pool still has the old 80’s door leading to it, of course!

The gym is in the basement with a treadmill, a bench with no weights…I wonder what the requirement is to state you have a ‘Gym’

You get 1 Towel per person and if you use it for the pool, you need to get it back to reception by 5pm so you can have a clean towel to shower. No pool towels, you have to purchase.

We will never stay here again.

Do not stay here if you are expecting 4 Stars. It’s a mixed bag of rooms and you are rolling the dice to what room you are allocated.
