Oceana on Broadbeach in Gold Coast

Room 5 on level 1 is directly next to a construction site with noisy work beginning every weekday at 630am and continuing throughout the day. The main bedroom and balcony instead of having the promised hinterland view have views of construction so close you are practically on the construction site. You cannot leave the curtains open or use the balcony. The other small balcony with ocean views had an extremely dirty window which obstructed the view. The cutlery drawer was dirty and we had to clean it ourselves. We checked in on a weekend so there was no reception at this time. Only one key for four people was initially supplied until reception finally opened. The ensuite bathroom was modern but had no door so the other person in the room had to leave the room when someone was going to the toilet. No tissues or dishwasher tablets supplied despite having a dishwasher. We complained to the reception and they stated we were notified construction was nearby, but it states it didn't impact residents. I do think construction noise at 630am directly outside the bedroom and primary balcony impacted our stay greatly. It was not relaxing to hear heavy machinery and clunking metal at 630am on our holiday.
EDIT: If the staff had formed a solution to our genuine complaint I would not feel the need to warn others. This was in relation to this particular apartment which unfortunately is located in a very undesirable location. The 'nearby' disturbances are more than described and I did note this to the staff that other apartments may not have this experience. I also noted to staff I felt sorry for the owner, but it is not a consumer's fault either to want to sleep past 630am. I do not write reviews unless I feel it absolutely necessary and my complaints are not addressed appropriately. I always say it is how a company addresses problems that show their true values. I have stayed in many places and have not had to make online complaints. It would have come as no surprise as I clearly statedbto staff that I would put in a complaint and that other small problems seemed bigger when there is a major issue not addressed. Expedia responded, but Boulevarde North did not act to compensate or alleviate the problem. If you were on holiday would you accept this issue?
