Reviews
Ischgl was amazing, the hotel was not. The staff were not very friendly staff and have little to no clue about hospitality. Basic food hygiene standards are also not met. Would return to Ischgl, but not stay here.
Detail
Location
The hotel is located about a 6 minute walk away from the main gondola and the town centre, BUT, it is located up two moderately steep hills that do become slippery. It's not always an issue, but one to consider when carrying skis and walking in ski boots (or driving!).
Breakfast
The breakfast selection was very limited, some sliced hams and cheeses, dried/overdone scrambled eggs and, if you're lucky, a boiled egg. No places are set and so you have to sift through the majority dirty cutlery.
Important: Some basic food hygiene standards are also not met. There is one utensil for both the meat and the cheese. Further, there was once an egg in with the meat and cheese. Considering the boiled egg was peeled and halved, one can't help but wonder if it was once already on somebody else's plate! The bread was completely stale as, even the manager admitted, it was left uncovered overnight! When I asked for fresh bread the response was "it is not usually a problem" (implying this is common practice) and I was handed a couple of slices out of a packet. The bread was stale on other mornings too.
Room
The room is of a decent size, but very basically furnished with no bath and no kettle. The double room is two single beds pushed together. Some hotels offer a proper double bed.
Each day, the bed was not made but rather the duvet was loosely folded on the bed such that you had to make it yourself. There was also no "do not disturb sign" if required.
Hotel
The hotel does not really have a lobby or anywhere to hang out and, often, there is no one on reception. There is a bell, but no one comes if pressed and so this can be annoying if you have a question or issue.
The hotel does indeed have a sauna and an infrared room, but the sauna is very small, three people is very much a naked squeeze! The infrared room is for one person and the control system doesn't work.
Lastly, the hotel staff are not always very friendly - it was 50/50 whether we'd even get a "guten morgen".
Hotel Corinna made our stay in Ischgl perfect – we couldn't have asked for anything better. From the moment you arrive, you feel that special blend of warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that's become so rare these days.
The location is simply ideal: central yet pleasantly quiet, with easy access to the ski lifts, restaurants, and the village center. The rooms are exceptionally well-maintained, stylishly furnished, and spotlessly clean – you feel right at home. The comfortable beds deserve special mention; you sleep wonderfully after a day on the slopes.
Breakfast is a real highlight: fresh, varied, high-quality, and prepared with great care. The perfect start to the day.
The service also deserves high praise – attentive, friendly, unobtrusive, and always with a genuine smile. You can tell that they work with passion.
Hotel Corinna isn't just another anonymous hotel; it's a place with soul. If you're looking for accommodation in Ischgl where you feel welcome and want to return, this is absolutely the right place.
We'll definitely be back – highly recommended!
Very large rooms with balconies.
Breakfast room in the beautiful winter garden.
Small suggestion for improvement: breakfast is very one-sided and little choice.
We were in Ischgl in the summer and can definitely recommend the hotel.
All mountain railways and buses can be used free of charge with the Silvretta Card.
Oh yes, you have to take the driveway to Hotel Erica.
