Hotel Galtürerhof in Galtuer

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area of Galtür, with quick and easy access to all ski areas in the region. The rooms are not very modern, but they were exceptionally clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The food was fresh, varied, and tasty. The staff were very kind and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

After two stays this year (5 days in August and a week around Christmas) I am already looking forward to the next stay at Galtürerhof! The team, the views, the food and the homey feeling are just wonderful and made both vacations so relaxing right from the moment after entering the door.

The hotel is located very conveniently close to the edge of town (stunning views of the mountains, hiking starts just a few steps from the door) and two minutes away from the bus which takes you right to the skiing areas/further hiking trails.

The rooms are basic, but have everything you need after spending the day outdoors in the wonderful nature of Paznaun Tal. The rooms are clean, equipped with saves and have a balcony.

Emily and Daniel and their team do a wonderful job at making sure everyone is happy and feels at home in their family-run hotel. Being born and raised in Galtür, Daniel gives great advice and recommendations on the area. Emily has an incredible eye for the details which make ones day. Fabian, Daniel’s brother and the cook, makes delicious dinners. We always got excited about the choices for the next day! Food requirements/wishes as well as other inquires and requests were taken care of immediately.

This is a fantastic three star hotel. Walter, the very talkative, larger-than-life bartender will fix you any drink in no time and know your life story by the end. But most of all his gins are better than 99% of those I have had in London and New York. The food is of great quality and exceptionally high consistency, in particular for a three star hotel. I stayed there for two weeks and not once was I disappointed. Emily and Andreas, the owners, will greet you with a warm smile and readily help you with any issues you may have. The rooms are simple but super clean and spacious, with a nice view and a large balcony. Oh and the beds are large and very comfy for a hotel in that class. Best of all, the owner is an expert skier who will take you literally anywhere in the mountains to find amazing skiing.

What a great family business and team running the Galturerhof. From the moment you enter the hotel Emily and Daniel will ensure you feel welcome and at home. The hotel’s bar and dinner area is a great place to unwind after a day of skiing and bartender Walter is among the best to keep you entertained and enjoying some of the Austrian beers, wines or the international selection stocking the gin bar. Family member Fabien consistently outperformed expectations when it came to the food. A good variety, decent portions and well prepared and presented. The rooms are clean and quiet. The bath rooms are on the small side, but this is more than compensated by the lovely wellness area. The hotel has a central though quiet location, stels away from the bus stop to the ski areas and the village center. The owners aim to further increase the standard by making further investments. For the current price it is a well deserved five star rating.

We stayed at the Galtuerhof hotel for a 1 week ski vacation. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are basic but clean enabling the reasonable price. The food served each evening was excellent. Each day something fresh and new and very tasty with familiar and uncomplicated service by the super friendly Emily and Walter. We enjoyed many nice evenings at the bar served well by Walter with varied conversation in German and English together with the other guests. The hotel was lovely but I had to sleep on a sofa bed which I thought was inadequate for two grown men sharing a twin room
