Hotel Luggi in Galtuer

Half boarding for five days. A well managed hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Would have been a five star establishment if it were not for two things; WiFi and food.

The WiFi required login several times a day making it hard to work. Coverage and speed to be improved.

The Major problem was though the food - the dinner treats were simply horrible. Only safe bet was the Wiener schnitzel with fries. The restaurant team should half the efforts on selling drinks and double the efforts on delivering tasty food.

Wouldn't it be for the owners true appreciation of the above feedback this establishment would be rated as three star. With right kitchen improvement the should be in place when you visit.

We were passing through on a motorbike and the hotel caught our eye straight away.
We just say arrive and feel good.
Everything fits... Friendliness, room, breakfast restaurant, great location.
We will be back :)

I'm usually not one for lengthy reviews but in this case I have to make an exception. We happened to stay at this fine establishment by chance and what a lucky chance it was.

Me and my two mates were halfway on our motorcycle road trip when our one of my mates motorcycle broke down in the middle of Silvretta Pass. We tried our best to get it running but soon it got dark and cold and we realized we can't get it running. We left the motorcycle on the Pass for the night and came down the mountain cold tired and hungry to look for a place nearby to spend the night. Several establishments looked at us sideways when we asked if they had any free rooms and sent us on our way. Then we happened on Luggi's establishment. There were a bunch of motorcycles in front of the hotel and so we thought it's worth a shot. The girl who was at the table said that check-in time is over and she can't access the room keys that was in a closed locker but she will arrange for us rooms. She got to work quickly, brought us linens blankets and pillows all the while being very welcoming and warm. We felt that somebody cared for our situation. When we mentioned food she phoned several local establishment and they all again said they were closed. Then she prepared us soup for dinner herself since she didn't want to leave us hungry for the night.

After we ate she organized a letter for the owner for the next day describing our situation and said that the owner, Luggi, could help us retrieve the bike. The next day Luggi's wife got us breakfast and was already familiar with our predicament since she read the letter. He described it to her husband Luggi and we went up the mountain with Luggi (even though he had a tour starting at 8 o'clock he still managed to find time to help us!) to retrieve the bike. After we got the bike down from the mountain Luggi called his brother to get our motorcycle to a repair shop.

That's a long review but I had to share this since the owners and staff of this establishment are amazing!!! Usually when bad things happen people don't really care for your situation. But in this instance we felt that the people involved were really interested that we get home safe and sound.

This place gets the highest marks from me!

Very friendly personnel, excellent service, delicious food.

Had a realy good time in this hotel it was close to all the famous ski areas so you really could get around quickly.
