RoseMary Inn in Baku

Really a bad hotel in a horrible condition! Even when the staff was friendly it couldnt make our stay pleasant. No water in the morning and no proper room service and very dirty room. The breakfast was poor! And fungus in the bathroom.

Both the hygiene and safety issues were appalling. 1. Regarding safety, three rooms lacked keys, allowing direct access from the outside. My friend's door was knocked on after 1 a.m., asking him to move rooms. Another friend's door was kicked and their suitcases were knocked over.

Cleanliness: No quilts were provided in any of the three rooms. Hair was found in all three rooms, and the sheets were clearly unwashed. My room had socks left behind by the previous guest. The shower in the bathroom didn't work, and the toilet bowl had urine stains.
3. The air conditioner was just for show and wouldn't turn on for an entire night!
4. The elevator was broken!
5. The carpet was smelly, and there were mosquitoes. I was bitten all night and couldn't sleep.

Honestly, the place is terrible in terms of cleanliness and staff behavior! There are a lot of insects and cockroaches, the bathroom is dirty, and the faucet is broken. It drips water all day and makes a scary noise.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. They don't speak Russian at the reception. The cleaner Maria translates. When checking in, we agreed to pay for a week, but if our plans changed, we would get the money back in full minus the number of days we spent there. And our plans changed. We paid 1,050 manat for a week. We went for a walk in Icheri-Sheker and went into the first hotel we came across. The standard was higher there, the staff spoke Russian and the price was the same! We returned to Rozmari to get our money back (minus the number of days we spent there), but they only gave us 200 manat back! They explained this by saying that we had taken a receipt, which meant that the hotel had already given most of it to taxes. We argued for a long time. We agreed to come back the next day and pick up the rest. And the next day they gave us another 400 manat and that was it. Now the reason was no longer the receipt and taxes, but the fact that they gave 300 manat to the taxi driver who brought us here. In general, after such stories I don’t want to go to the country anymore... I hope it will pass...
