Hotel Albert Plage in Knokke-Heist

One of the worst hotel and one of the world's worst hotel owner I have experienced (Frederick). I made a booking via Expedia whereas I paid for the night on 3rd of Sep 2024. I arrived at the hotel. There was no staff. After trying the bell and hotel phone for 10 minutes without any luck i then walked with my luggage to their sister hotel Nelson. Finally I got hold of one of the staff at the property who told me that the guy who works at night had a car accident and he is covering for him. However he has early morning shift and would go to sleep. He spoke to the owner (Frederick) who initially told his employee to open the room for me and I can get the keys in the morning. When I persisted he told his staff that he will come to deliver the key. Finally after 30 mins I got the keys and dropped my luggage and had to go out. It was a warm night and the staff gave me a small fan. When I got back and switched the fan on I realised that it's just making noise and not blowing any air. It was wrong kind of fan. I could not sleep as it was hot and muggy in the room. Plus you could hear everything from the sound of people talking on the street or someone walking up the stairs or going down. And in the middle of the night I had no other option but to stay because no staff was available and all other places were shut. In the morning I spoke to the lady at the Nelson hotel and she confirmed that the fan is wrong type. I asked her to put me through the manager. She took my complaint and phone number. No one called till now....please also look at the pic of the fan (dirty)

And finally John Verwee sends a standard reply. Just shows that they are not bothered at all. Otherwise they would have contacted me to resolve the issue/complaint I made. And finally they expect to see the guest return to their hotel in future..... what a joke!!!

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, especially since we had stayed there in June (and everything was great then!). The smell was unpleasant, undoubtedly due to the poorly maintained carpet! And the furniture was dusty! Luckily, the Sunday brunch served at Nelson was still exceptional!

A small, well-located hotel with pleasant common areas. The staff were welcoming. However, the room was very uncomfortable, lacked air conditioning, was outdated, and its cleanliness was questionable. We couldn't ignore the poor condition of the walls (graffiti, holes, etc.) and the complete lack of soundproofing between the rooms and the common areas. We were disappointed with our stay, despite its high cost.

This hotel has ni air conditioning or any ventilation. The re is no staff in the hotel...you are refferref to the next hotel, Nelson. We had to pay 400 euro extra for 4 nights to get a room with air conditioning.

Haar in de badkamer, personeel was chagrijnig.

Rooms are basic ok, the doors close badly so you have to pull hard on the doors to close them. As a result, other guests make a lot of noise all night long when they return to the hotel. You should not be in this hotel for a quiet and good night's sleep.
