Upstairs Hotel in Oostende

What a find!
We absolutely loved our stay. Rooms perfectly sized, all the amenities and the hotel has such a cool vibe throughout. They have thought about every corner with their decor.
Staff were so welcoming and such a reasonable rate for what you get.
I mean how many hotels do you know with a slide in the bar?
Would recommend to anyone visiting and will definitely be back!

We made a reservation for 1 night to visit family in Ostend, after 2 flights and a total of approx 14 hours of travel, we parked our rental car underground nearby (this hotel has no parking of it's own) and standing with our luggage in the pouring rain in front of the hotel, could not take the main entrance due to works, someone (by sign language !) signalled to take the service entrance, a steep little road down into darkness with heavy luggage, so it was quite the awkward adventure to get to the reception. After this hospitality hick up of note, the penthouse room booked was delightful. As one can see from the pics, wintertime 50 shades of Belgian grey, but a room with a view after all is always nice. Lovely coffee machine in the room and comfortable Queen size extra bed.
The location is superb, lots of restaurants, shops and the beach only a few steps away.
Good value for money in general we think (substrackting the hick up at our arrival, which we will subscribe to bad timing) We did not try the breakfast buffet, but the space looked inviting.
We will come back in summer time again.

Very good hotel that's very close to the zeedijk and city centre.
Breakfast has a very wide selection from yogurt to all sorts off charcuterie, pancakes, coffee's and juices
While some rooms are located to the centre of the hotel noise might be an issue in the summer when windows are open with it echoing a bit.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, there is also a bar that you can chill at and have a drink.
The lobby is very likeable for children and younger active people, with a slide, ping-pong table, pooltable, arcade machine with multiple games, cornhole and fussball table.

Dogs are welcome as well which is great for people with dogs going to Ostend.

I will definitely go back to upstairs hotel.

Hip and trendy hotel very central. Super clean. Staff very helpful and go out of their way to accomodate the guests needs. Rooms are clear, wifi is very strong. The breakfast is varied and very tasty and generous. Overall this hotel has a 4 star vibe not 3 stars. Would stay there again for sure!

This hotel is in a great location, right on the beach, close to lots of restaurants and shoppes. There are games to play in the lobby, which is fun.

The only issue I had was that it is a smoke-free property however there were clearly people smoking on our floor, which made our stay less comfortable. Also, in the lobby, they would leave the sliding door open and people would stand right in the entry way and smoke constantly, making the entire lobby, including the bar and games area super smoky, which we found off-putting and nauseating. Unfortunately, the smoking everywhere was the one negative of our experience.
