We booked our anniversary dinner based on a previous visit years ago in the restaurant.. Expecting a culinary experience high end. The restaurant and food changed drastically. No one in the restaurant or at reception desk to welcome us. Had to go find someone. One young lady doing bookings, serving at the tables and taking care of hotel and payments. The food came in waves. Meat - no fries- then fries- sauce another 5 min later. Food - average- very few customers- the class it had in the past has disappeared , unfortunately. This used to be high end restaurant with professional waiters beautiful tasty food and a great atmosphere. It’s now an average diner with a printed menu on a paper placemat. Would not “celebrate” another meaningful event here.

Booked a double with twin beds, ended up with a double and told fully booked yet a twin room was empty and unused. Been before but not again.

Could do better
You have to run the water for a very long time to get a steady stream of hot water.
The comforter isn't wide enough for the bed, and the pillows are worn.

We stayed for two weeks while visiting family.

After check-in. We went out of hotel for dinner and we were told to leave our room key at front desk. When we returned to hotel at 12am the hotel was locked and we could not enter. We buzzed the door and knocked for 15 minutes. We had to drive to different hotel to stay the night. I would like full refund.

Run-down hotel with many shortcomings.
The staff at the hotel were nice and friendly. Location was OK as a starting point to see some of Belgium.
Super good restaurant that does not belong to the hotel. Convenient that the restaurant was in the same building.
The hotel is extremely run-down and not maintained. It is almost an impossible task to mention all the shortcomings.
All in all, the hotel was a disappointing experience.

Rustic and Charming with a Old house feel.
Once you understand that this is a rustic classical hotel with an Old Farmhouse feel you can relax and enjoy the experience , a modern trendy place this is not. It does have a fridge and kettle in the room , the hot water in the bathroom takes an age to arrive but is fine once it does. As mentioned in other reviews the floorboards creak and it was nessesary to leave the wardrobe door ajar to prevent it creaking when someone passes the room . Its rustic and charming in its own way.

Absolutely terrible dark dingy dirty staircase you be a mountain lion to climb the staircase There is no lift available and you find the staircase. It’s very steep and wind around on itself so if you’ve got a heavy case, it’s gonna be very difficult for you and your families to get into one of the top rooms. The way which the so-called hotel has a so-called in a very loose term it’s very poor very dated and all you gotta do is look at the photos and explain to you. Honestly, give this a wide birth. Find something better if only for your mental health.

We've booked and payed for 3 guests but were given a room with beds for 2 people. Sure, after an exposition the hotel brought the missing bed but they expected us to put the bed linen in place - so we did. We've had to remind that a third set of towels was still missing. Finally we waived the third "welcome package" (soap and so on).
The bathroom smelled strongly and unbearable of mildew.
The road was basically load of traffic all night long.
The breakfast was expensive and did not offer much was the money.
