Air conditioning just works from 8PM to 6AM during summer, which makes it hard to stay inside the place during the day

It is a hostel, so manage your expectations. But good enough for a hostel that you’re paying for. And close to the beach and everything else. Feels abit old and crammed go up to my room

This time we were pleasantly surprised. It became cleaner, breakfasts became better (they added cheese and ham). Of the minuses: they removed the free welcome capirinha in the evening upon check-in. It used to be a good promotion.

The rooms are dirty with large layers of dust on the beds, lockers with locks are all broken, special requests are fulfilled very difficult and reluctantly, the breakfast is average without cheese or sausage for sandwiches.There are cockroaches in the room and in the kitchen.There is no capirinha on Sunday.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the air conditioning was too cold that you couldn't sleep. On the other hand there was a group of girls who came in making a noise playing music in the early morning

It's very close to the beach. I didn't notice much after sleeping for one night. The youth hostels here are all of the same level and don't have air conditioners or hot water.

When I booked for this hostel, I was very scared seeing the reviews. But in reality, everything went well. The dormitories were OK, the breakfast satisfactory, and the staff very welcoming. They often offer excursions to visit the city and in the evening, outings to festive bars. The only negative point would be the hygiene and cleanliness which could be better.

Really comfortable structure 3 streets from the famous Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. Economic structure without many pretenses and an economical price for this reason I give 5 stars to everything because it deserves it for the quality-price ratio

Waited 2 hours for our delivery. When I called at 1.5 hours they lied and said my pizza was on the way. 25 mins later, when I called a second time they said my pizza had not been made yet. Come on!? This was 10 mins until closing. I guess they would have just left me waiting all night had I not followed up. Who has time for this garbage from a Dominos pizza? Beats me. Nunca mais gente.

I have a wonderful story about this place and its awesome staff. I stayed in an apartment above this cafe and frequented this place for coffee, acai, smoothies, and other snacks while on a 10-day stay in Rio. I got to know the staff, and they were always friendly, but they proved to be almost-saintlike one afternoon when I had a really scary experience.....upon coming back to the apartment that day, I reached inot my pocket and discovered my wallet was missing (with my cash, ATM card, drivers license, etc.) I didn't know if I had been pick-pocketed or if it had fallen out during one of my excursions. Luckily I had left a back up credit card and my original passport in the apartment, but I was still mortified.
While I started calling my bank in the USA, I got a knock on my apartment door. It was one of the guys from the cafe. He found my wallet on the sidewalk while he was sweeping. It had fallen out of my pocket while sitting at the counter. He asked the building's doorman which apartment was mine, and he brought it up to me (cash and everything). I was ecstatic!!!!! Of course, I gave him every bit of cash I had, and generously tipped the guys working there every time I saw them for the rest of my stay. What wonderful people!
People say Rio is dangerous, and you do need to look out for yourself while there, but this place is proof that many Cariocas are just the best people in the world. BTW, the acai here is great.
