View Apartments in Sozopol

The apartment we were accomodated in had nothing in common with the photos in the website. It smelled like mold and air freshener. We couldn't open the curtains the whole time, bacause they were the dense type and everyone was able to see in our room. It felt like a basement. Not to mention the spider web on the window and the rusty hot plate.

When we got there we were greeted by a lady who led us to our room. Took us around the buildings saying she was not allowed to walk through the pool area. That is ok but we do not work there and I am pretty sure you do not intoduce your guests around the service areas. On the following day we saw another employee who took the guests through the pool area - the fastest route. The room we were hosted at had nothing to do with the actual online ad which we were presented with. The sheets were dirty with stains, the room smelled of mold as did the linens. Furthermore the ad said we were to get a room at the 1st floor and we got one that was a basement. It had three small windows which were under a walkway meaning anyone who passed could see inside. We also had a "balcony" which basically was a glass door to the walkway outside. Since everyone could see inside we had to put the curtains down which further made the basement a dark dungeon.No phone coverage when inside and wifi was unusable. The toaster was rusted. The shower had two available water levels - burning hell and freezing. For the life of me I could not reach an acceptable water temp. Each time we flushed the toilet it sounded as if someone was drilling through the wall. For some reason the wall was crumbling, arguably because of the mold. We left a day early. When they asked why we were leaving early and I explained a part of the issues they tried to defend saying they gave us this room because it was a cheaper one. ?!?!??! Didn't make much of this explanation. Did not offer a refund. Offered to move us to a higher floor. We refused as we did not see a point. Attached you can see some pics. But hey the pool was good. Maybe the only true thing about the ad. Totally not worth the price though.
