Hostels in Plovdiv

I stayed in this hostel two seperate times in 2023, once when the weather was not so hot and once in the heat of summer. In summer the rooms were quite hot but was still bearable. The location of this hostel is superb, situated in the old town of plovdiv it is literally the perfect spot for a tourist. The outdoor kitchen is nice and same with the outdoor social area.

Good location (at old town), super friendly and helpful staffs, good wifi. The building is old because it is at historical place. It is an interesting and warm hostel (feel people like your family). I had very good time and met new friends. Recommend hikers hostel.

I visited the hostel many times over the last years, because it was the most alive and diverse place in miles. I could write novels. To the positive things: Community spaces are nice, outdoor kitchen is nuts, evening parties are awesome during summer season, the place is a magnet of interesting travellers. The toilets are pretty exposed to the whole lobby, such are the showers. Not so nice for anybody...

Nice place in the center of the city, in the old town but also next to the new part. Good prices, good people and nice ambient inside. Definitely a great place to stay if you are not overly scrupulous with cleaning :)

Nice location, there are two buildings for this hostel / hotel. We were at the center and it was great because everything I wanted was close to us. The guy who gave us the keys was pretty nice and the dog was very nice too (really animals are better than humans - it's proven)

I cant say its a cleanest place ive ever visit. But an owner(who i never met) doing one of a smartest thing i have ever seen. He hires most sexiest, most ripe bulgarian girls as a receptionists. You wont believe it. They not doing much job. Dirty toilets, tobacco smell everywhere, garbage bags in "newly" cleaned rooms. The location was perfect for exploring the old city with restaurants and things to do all around. The owner of the hostel was very nice and extremely helpful with tourist tips. The room was small, cozy, and perfect for one person. The room also had an AC / heating unit so I was able to control the temperature myself on the cold days. The price and the views are right

An alright hostel for the price. The rooms do not look very nice, but the price is affordable, and it has a bed to sleep. The location is perfect in the centrum of Plovdiv surrounded by things to see and many shops. The only problem with the location is that it is on the 4th floor in a building without lifts, which can be a hassle if you have luggage.

It’s a magical place, the owners are very nice and welcomed us like friends. They make sure that everyone feels at home. We recommand it for people who want to spend quality time with friends from all over the world and to learn new cultures. Cheap place to stay in good location. But the hostel is untidy (room was clean but the rest like bathroom not really).

Hostel itself is a 3, maybe a 2,5 stars. However, the staffer was nice, gave good advice and literally ran to us to help us through the City. The place itself is fine, typical hostel and cheap enough. I'd recommend it if for nothing but the experience

Clean and nice place in a great location near the rowing base. We had a terrace in the room and it was cleaned impeccably. The person is very kind, also there is a cool summer garden for the guests of the hostel.

My one night at Hostel Plovdiv was a curious experience. Given its name and the reviews I was expecting it to be an actual hostel. What I found though was a cafe/bar with blinds closed to the outside world and a few burly bald guys who reacted to my arrival like I might have interrupted their plans for an imminent bank robbery. Very centrally located, clean and inexpensive. The rooms are cozy and bright. The bar is a dream, where you can enjoy your drink in peace. Everything great! I would definitely recommend! :)

Great location! The place is everything you need for a night or two in the town. Staff at the reception is very friendly. Even though you are literally on the second floor of the train station the windows are good enough and you do not hear anything! Definitely will come again.

A very quiet, clean, and respectful site. It's a bit confusing with the booking system ( Online), but once you get through the booking system it's good. Clean bathrooms, showers, and individual pitches. A Hotel and glamping with a games area cooking facilities grey water and fresh water also available. Very nice.

We were in a motorhome and stopped here for 4 nights. It is a very nice campsite but relies on QR codes, which not everyone is familiar with, or likes. The washing machine takes 4 hours!! That needs to be addressed. Transport to the city is perfect and only costs 1 lev each way. A really good site. The website cannot access prices.

Brilliant location for vising Plovdiv. Only one sanitary (1 x loo, 1 x shower) open in winter, but thankfully only a couple of campers on site when we were here. Facilities are good. Book ahead to gain access to site via QR code. Had some issues with the booking as only Gmail account would be recognised to book.

It was room only basis, so a short walk for breakfast over the bridge every morning. Room was cleaned every day, but there is a language barrier, and some traffic noise.

Very good small hotel. We stayed in the suite which was large with a great terrace! The hotel is situated at the heart of the city! From the windows you can watch the old town! The staff is kind and helpful! The only negative is that there is no elevator!

Very kind staff. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and they let us enter to drop our bags and sleep for a couple hours. Installations are very authentic in the old town and super well located. Would reccomend for a quick visit in Plovdiv !

One of my best hostel experiences ever! Rooms are big and stylish old-school. Personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is nice and people are just great. Probably the best Hostel I've ever stayed in. I love the interior, it looks straight from the turn of the century. The breakfast is pretty decent for the price you pay. Oh and btw, the beds are very comfy.

We booked last minute for 6 people and we were received by the sweetest lady and son. Lovely and caring service. The place is clean, the rooms are big, there is a breakfast area and the hotel is just 3 blocks from the center. Nicely tucked away from the noise.
