I arrived early and only waited ten minutes for an early check-in. The service attitude was excellent, and the room was clean, though the hotel seems quite old, and the facilities are just average

Maria from the spa center is the only reason I gave a 5 star to this place. I took my friend's mother for massage today and got a deep tissue and classic massage for myself from Maria today

She is one of best and most talented massage ladies ever. She knows what she if doing, she puts the perfect amount of pressure and she is very hard working, professional, kind and friendly

Grand Hotel… great location and excellent staff. So happy to make every guest welcome… and it’s a big place. Some details in so many rooms can get missed, but for large groups it is epic

Second time i stay in this hotel, which is a bit on the outside of the city, but doable to walk to the center. Small parking, and the restaurant could be updated a bit, but otherwise all the rest is perfect

Holiday Inn in Plovdiv is one of the best hotels where I stayed during my business travels. The stuff is super friendly, especially girls that are open for talk, and helpful when asked about some directions, cuisine etc

We really enjoyed breakfast at Holiday Inn, highly recommended, and the staff who working there was absolutely professional, always tidying up and making sure everyone's well looked after.

All Staff was very attentive and the hotel is very clean and tidy (10/10) reception have a good knowledge of English, some staff have limited English, this does not deter there ability's and are keen to assist and get help as and when needed

The hotel in general has a very welcoming and friendly attitudes to all nationalities would definitely stay there again

There is an open-air swimming pool on the first floor with many people swimming and sunbathing. The service is warm and thoughtful. The only drawback is that the facilities are a bit old

The lighting was not very bright and the nearby busy street produces noises all night. There are some nice things like the indoor swimming pool but overall I don't think it is worth it

Fascinating! Location is so perfect! And the specious hallways and lobby reminds me of a castle! The breakfast was so rich, despite the fact I am on a special diet- everything of the Buffet fits me perfectly!

This hotel has a very good location, right in the ancient city, opposite the pedestrian street. The hotel environment is very good

The location is good, but the parking fee is expensive. You should definitely consider the parking fee.

It is my first time to go to Bulgaria and Plovdiv in a foreign country, so the first impression of the hotel may become the first impression of this new city and country, so the good impression brought by this hotel makes me have a better understanding of this country and city

On Our special day, once we return to our hotel room. We are amaze to see the beautiful decoration with flowers, balloons, bottle champange on ice and fresh cake

You can watch the sunset over all of Plovdiv and its unique view.

We are were very happy to see there was a coffee machine in our room so we made a cup of coffee and it was really good drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying the beautiful view. The room was very big, tidy and clean

The hotel is ok at all, but i have some remarks. The room was ok, but the bathroom wasn't. The shower rossete was filled with fist of hair and the valves of the sink were spoiled

On the other hand, it has free parking right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient for coming and going, although the first time you arrive it's a bit confusing since there's a barrier and nowhere does it indicate that it's the hotel's parking lot

The location of the hotel is a bit far from the Center, but there are several bus stops, gas stations, large Parking lots, grocery stores, most of which-like restaurants in the vicinity

We stayed there for two days with our campervan. The service and facilities are just perfect. The bus stop to the city center is right in front. Thank you Plamen for your service. I hope we'll come back soon!!!

The Hotel was lovely and very clean. The room was spacious and the spa was beautiful. Manager and staff so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will return again.

I found this hotel just by chance and as a last minute booking. Smart booking system, clean, tidy, spacious rooms, great food and very helpful staff particularly Lilly who was an absolute star

Reception managers Lili and Plamen and the restaurant manager Nasko were very professional, friendly and willing to help! I can strongly recommend!

I also got to speak with the manager who takes an interest in all his clients. I will without hesitation be back in the next few weeks

Good hotel, nice stuff, very good breakfast, among the better ones we had in a week in Bulgaria. Pretty far from the center so you would probably might need to add the cost of the cabs, but it is not too expensive or bad

Only 3 hot options, a very small selection of pastries only and the juices all were very dilute cordial at best. We never bothered to go for more breakfast after the 1st visit. I have stayed at better hotels in Plovdiv

The balcony with lake view picture on the hotel website was probably the room with the best view. Breakfast was poor, but i guess it was a typical bulgarian type of breakfast

Check in was straightforward however, we were not given our bed requests. I reserved 1 double and 2 twins. I was given 2 doubles and 1 twin, which was not changed

The receptionist during check in was very nice and helpful. The overall hygiene was good except 1-2 problems. Towels and linen were fresh and clean. Very, very good quality for its value

Since we arrived early, we wanted to check into the hotel 5 hours beforehand, and they were very helpful and didn't charge any extra fees. Also, the room, the hotel, and the location were excellent.

The room was clean, large, comfortable and very quiet. Recommended for sure. The only negative point is that the swimming pool water was rather cold despite the very hot outside temperature.

The restaurant serves semi-finished products. The guests of the outdoor pool are children and teenagers from the neighborhood

The location of this hotel is very accessible both from the near highway and the main city roads. It also has a big commercial centre with lots of shops, offices and activities

I stay in Plovdiv very often and have always avoided this hotel. I had to choose it that night because of the location

There is a large and convenient car park as well as a 24/7 lobby bar. In the summer there is a swimming pool. I would certainly return when I am in town again!

Mid level stay Hotel’s facilities are not good. The pool is open for everyone with a fee and closed at 19:30. The receptionist does not know english and rude

Very conviently located hotel, with a few parking slots available. Exceptionally friendly staff, decent breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Might be noisy from the main street but for one night it's OK.

Very nice hotel, but doesn’t offer free water in the room. It was very very hot outside and it would be a nice (and normal) thing to have two free small bottles of water in the room

We were in Plovdiv for business, and it was a solid option. The location is close to the city center, there are some good places to park your car

From a special SPA robe for the baby, to the fact that there is baby food available at the buffet breakfast and dinner, through the multiple pools, including kids and baby pools - we were so impressed with everything

Also there's a ton of activities for the kids at the play center, and the pool area after the renovations is extended offering more area for the kids

Thus it is difficult to swim in the swimming pools though it is OK for the kids. Good animators and excellent food

This is easily the best hotel for families with children in South Bulgaria. Totally targeted at families with kids and one can tell that things at Markovo Spa are done with passion, professionalism and love for the guest

We had a gorgeous stay at Markovo Spa in November 2025. It was our first visit with a 5 month old baby and the service was exceptional for us - the adults - and for the baby

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. At arival whe recieved a drink and many tips on what to visit. They warmed up the pool and gave us the best advize on where we could travel next

Additionally, Julia and Lazar are fantastic hosts—very friendly and attentive. never seen such great hosts before. we definitely want to visit Plovdiv and stay at galeria in the garden once more
