Hotel KVL is a solid city base in Phnom Penh with a good location and views over the Mekong River. It’s close to the main bar area and a weekend street market, but that also means the road in front is closed from around 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s worth checking how that might affect your arrival or departure. Make sure you get the exact room type you booked, as there can be discrepancies, and note that the water pressure is on the weaker side, though everything else in the room works well. Breakfast is decent with enough variety, and overall the hotel offers a nice urban contrast to the resort feel of the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap.

An excellent hotel with top-notch service and facilities. The off-season rates were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The location is also fantastic, right near the Grand Palace.

An absolutely perfect experience. The views are excellent; the west side faces the Mekong River, and the east side faces the Royal Palace, with the east side being much quieter. The service is attentive; someone helped with my luggage as soon as I got out of the car, and the front desk staff were very kind. The room facilities are new, soundproofing is good, and the shower amenities are L'Occitane. Breakfast is of French standard. To be more economical, it's an à la carte menu. Both Western and Chinese options are available, and everything is prepared exquisitely.

I recently stayed at Hotel KVL and found so much to like. The design is excellent, the staff is professional, and the overall atmosphere is great. It clearly has the potential to be one of the best spots in the city.

It’s a beautiful property with so much potential, but until it adds more for guests to do on-site, it feels more like a boutique sleep-spot than a complete hotel experience.

My family enjoyed the location, amenities and comfort of KVL Hotel. A truly relaxing, home-away-from-home experience.

It is located on the best spot to many walking distance tourist attractions and activities such as the Royal Palace, National Museum and Night Market as well as the Chaktomuk Walk Street weekend events. Needless to say that there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. My kids truly enjoyed strolling around this area for sightseeing and feeding the birds along the riverside while I could easily fit in friend’s meetups into my busy days at the Alchemist Coffee right downstairs!

Best amenities for the price. All of us had free delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of variety to start our days. Fast Wi-Fi allowed my husband and I to get some work done while sipping quality TWG Tea provided in the room. Free Hotel Tuk Tuk rides on demand to nearby attractions, safe and convenient! The rooftop Up by KVL restaurant made it possible for my couple to have a date after a long time while kids could rest comfortably in the room.

The kids loved junior suite room with plenty of space to play. Large walk-in shower allowed a fun and easy shower time for the kids. I loved the L’Occitane shampoo and body wash along with other high quality toiletries that make my packing much lighter!

We stayed at KVL for a total of two weeks and enjoyed it every single night. Highly recommended for a great family stay!

What am incredible experience my family has had at this hotel. The accommodations are amazing. The value is at the top of the range. The breakfast was the strongest element of value & execution. The bathrooms are very comforting in the 3 stages you experience bathrooms. I cannot possibly ooze enough about the superlatives of this experience. I've stayed in hotels around the world in a generous range of prices and this is at the top, for me. Now, you'll read my review and think I mean, there are no flaws or very little to improve and for the most part, that would be finishing touches or initial engagement. Logistics. Otherwise, they have done what can be done.

I stayed here for 3 nights and the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly and professional. The room was very clean and nicely stocked with extra toiletries. The breakfast was lovely and the hotel is very conveniently located. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. If I’m ever in Phnom Penh again I would definitely stay again.
