Reviews
Because of this, I decided to leave and transfer to another nearby hotel — King Grand Boutique Hotel — which was a complete contrast. It was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The staff there were extremely warm and accommodating, and even though it was my first night, I felt relaxed and well taken care of. The amenities were excellent, and it was conveniently located just about 100 meters from the A1A Pink Run venue.
I hope the original hotel improves its guest communication and ensures a more peaceful environment, especially for those who come to rest and recharge.
I was only disappointed with one of the room who’s laminated floor here loosen due to previous occupants walking around with wet feet. Room 705. This did not happen in the other room. My other issue is with the door. It’s very thin anyone can hear you from the hallway. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes.
Breakfast eggs any style however in my view they can't cook over easy more over hard still edible salad and a few vegetables bacon and sausage on different days however the food that's supposed to be hot, super cold and nothing to do with me being late. Starts daily 6am until 10am and 2 days I was there at 6am the other other days 7am still the same and only appeared to be 1 (me) and maybe 1 or 2 others at breakfast.
My main disappointment was at check in I was taken to my room on 6th floor room 603 superior with breakfast the young man showed me how to operate AC safe tv etc which was nice however AC did not go cold.
No phones in room so back to the lobby spoke with him and he returned to room he pushed couple buttons turned it off and on and said it's working, away he goes i waited 10 minutes it's blowing hot air I opened filter door and OMG I couldn't believe my eyes how disgustingly filthy the filters were.
You could not see through them and I would guess that they have never been cleaned.
I washed them myself then the AC became cool.
I spoke with same guy and another man was with him I explained what I did and the other man suggested if I could go to other rooms and clean them over the next day or so it became a laughing matter and the same man 2 days later made a joke that he was going to transfer me to another room I said why and he stated so you can clean that AC
Needless to say I wasn't impressed
The other man I found out was the actual hotel manager...
Anyways that aside hotel pleasant staff exceptionally friendly apart from manager
Breakfast staff super nice and helpful kind of too helpful but very nice
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
3.8 stars.
Was given a room on the 5th floor, it looks as though the entire floor has been renovated and refreshed. Not sure if the same can be said about all the floors.
The beds however were pretty broken and sunken in. Breakfast spread was plain and rather underwhelming. Besides that had a pleasant stay.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the warm and welcoming presence of Miss Nu. Her polite and intelligent demeanor immediately made me feel at ease, and her invitation to dine was irresistible. I'm so glad I accepted!
The garden restaurant is not only perfectly situated, but also beautifully furnished and landscaped. Every detail, from the comfortable seating to the lush greenery and carefully chosen decor, contributed to the overall sense of tranquility and elegance. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
The food was exceptional. I indulged in the Australian meat, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. As the evening progressed, the restaurant filled with a pleasant buzz of conversation, and the soft strains of music began around six, adding to the already magical ambiance.
This garden restaurant is a true gem in Phnom Penh, a perfect blend of natural beauty, impeccable service, and delectable cuisine. It's a testament to the thoughtful design and the dedication of staff like Miss Nu, who create such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
The hotel's rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's attention to detail, from the fresh flowers in the room to the complimentary bottled water.
The hotel's facilities are also top-notch, with a beautiful swimming pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a relaxing spa. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious Khmer and international cuisine, and the breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day.
What truly made my stay special, however, was the exceptional service provided by the hotel's staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful concierge service, every interaction with the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive.
Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Cambodiana to anyone visiting Phnom Penh. Its combination of comfortable rooms, excellent facilities, and exceptional service make it the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Price: Reasonable and value-for-money
Location: Central location with stunning views of the Mekong River
Amenities: Swimming pool, fitness center, spa, restaurant, bar
Service: Exceptional and attentive service from friendly and professional staff
Overall: An unforgettable experience in the heart of Phnom Penh.
Inside the room, it was comfortable but unremarkable. The television was outdated but functional, and while there was a bathtub, I found the water heater to be incredibly noisy, making early morning showers a challenge for light sleepers. The lighting was a bit too warm for my preference, but ultimately acceptable.
The hotel did boast a well-equipped gym, though some of the equipment showed signs of wear and tear. Note that the gym closes at 10 PM, which might be inconvenient for late-night fitness enthusiasts.
I stayed during the New Year's period and enjoyed an exceptional all-you-can-eat buffet with an incredible variety of dishes. The presence of an impressive ice sculpture added a unique touch to the festivities.
