i really enjoyed my stay at the Kingston Hotel! i stayed in the single bed, shared bathroom room and it was perfect. perhaps it was the time of year (end of Jan), but there weren’t a lot of people staying on my floor and the bathroom was accessible every single time. it was also incredibly clean. i can imagine in the busier months it wouldn’t be as accessible every time or as quiet. the price was unbeatable though. i loved the old charm— i get tired of modern design in hotels; everything is black, white, and grey. this hotel felt like a blast from the past, it felt homey. the sink right in the room was extremely convenient. i tried out the sauna and liked it! the location was perfect. hotel staff were on their game. would recommend!

The sink in the room was a bit old, and the faucet was a little quirky, but I guess that's part of the hotel's unique character. It's really well-managed and orderly; there's no noise in the hallways or guest rooms. Even the shared bathrooms are spotless.

What I really didn't like was the credit card deposit, just like five-star hotels. Why do budget hotels do this? It quickly maxes out my card!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! MOUSE INFESTED!!! I stayed here for one night only because I was silly enough not to reserve at the Grandview and will not make that mistake again. I had an event to attend and was running out of time. I was quoted $149 online and at the desk. I opted for a private bathroom. Shortly after taking my stuff up, while on the phone with the restaurant next door a mouse ran across the room right beside my feet. I informed the front desk and they were unsurprised and offered a different room that was just above the first and also had a mouse- of course. There is no mini fridge in the room and the bill went from $149 magically up to $237 despite the fact that I did not agree to pay the outrageous fees for parking- not sure taxes add up to $90 extra. The front desk attendant in the morning was on the phone on a personal call while I was checking out. She assured me the deposit would be automatically released. It turned out that they forgot to charge the room, or the whole thing was pre-authed and did not charge my card till 2 weeks later. Very frustrated with these folks!!!

Highly recommend!! For the location and price, amazing. the shared floor bathrooms were no problem. Not once did i have to wait, males have a shared and females have their own as well. Quiet rooms, small but cute and perfect for a weekend stay like we were. Helpful and nice front desk! Would return to!

This is an older hotel in a fantastic downtown location. We couldn't get a room with private bath, so we settled for a shared bath down the hall. It was clean and never busy.
Our room met our needs.
Front desk staff as helpful but not as 'friendly' as we are accustomed to.
There is free tea and coffee available in the morning, but nothing else (not even fresh milk for tea!).

The location is perfect. I recommend it if you're just looking to sleep. The price is a bit steep. The staff are friendly. The room doesn't have a bathroom or shower, which is incredibly inconvenient. I booked this place after seeing free parking on Trip.com, but there wasn't.

Went for drinks and had a great time. Three things stand out about this place - 1) the wonderful ambience and atmosphere - cosy and comfortable, with a couple of fireplaces; 2) the beer collection - quite a few beers both bottled and on tap - haven't come across this kind of a collection at too many places; 3) probably the best part - the servers who are very friendly and helpful.

Glad I came across this place, would definitely re-visit.

The people are really awesome, pretty standard beers but the local seasonal beer was amazing, we thought it was strange edamame was on the menu, but I'll be honest, best edamame I've ever had. And the nachos were ENORMOUS. Overall vibe of the place was just really nice laid back pub. Tvs everywhere for watching the game too!

Yummy food for decent prices. Good selection of items, friendly staff. Uneven flooring makes it hard to walk if you're not careful. Very hot downstairs, no fans or airflow but a nice ambience.

The food quality is good, they have a great beer selection and the staff is always pleasant. The Quattro Formaggi pizza is the best pizza I've had in Vancouver.

Don't watch a ufc fight here. Not because they charge $15 per person, or because they have terrible seating arrangements for events. Because the manager organizing the seating is completely incapable of doing a job as a HOST. He was telling people they have to wait for the whole party to arrive before being seated, while seating others just fine. Creating a huge traffic jam in the entry way. Terrible customer service and an over all rude demeanor. Thank God for the servers though. They apologized, even though I didn't feel it was their fault. Embarrassing. I'd sooner go to PHAT or Doolins. :(

Went for a 10am NFL game on Sunday. The eggs benny was absolutely terrible in look & taste. Did not finish it. Service wasn't special either. The place itself is nice enough for watching the game but you can probably find somewhere better to watch.
