I've stayed here for weeks at a time in the distant past & would love to go back.
The views are stunning, especially from the big room with the private little balcony!

The food at this restaurant was surprisingly good and I recommend enjoying one of the set menus. The cafe it self defies gravity, like most of Valparaiso, as it dangles on a cliff edge. This allows you to have sweeping views of downtown and hills around. Friendly cats on the premises too which will even help themselves to your lap

House is located in the heart of the tourist area. Located on top of a hill, it's a steep climb to get up. Over looks pl. Anibal Pinto where some walking tours begin. A popular place for people to assemble.

Not a 5 stars hotel, but 10 stars in history ,service, location and must mention the workers in there. Omg so much respect for those attending the public...staying only one night with affordable rooms clean and and unforgettable view of Valparaiso view. OVER THE TOP

What you see is what you get. The room is exactly the same as the picture, a little smaller, but it has everything. The location is good, halfway up the mountain, the restaurant faces the sea, and the view is good

Too zoo-like for me
It has beautiful views from the restaurant below street level. That is the best thing about this place. The locks and all the security gates, etc. are very trying, and the stairways are all a bit scary. The neighborhood, while cute and funky, has very narrow streets, like a maze, and the hotels here do not offer anywhere to park. The whole area on weekends is very crowded and noisy with street performers competing loudly for attention.

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant with an even better view and a most attentive server, Franco, helping us. The meal was very reasonably priced, and as it was three courses, my husband and I shared it (we were saving room for a big dinner). Franco did not care it was shared, and was still very attentive. The meals are also very reasonably priced. I had fresh fish for my meal, with an avocado and shrimp appetizer. The view of the hills and bay are exceptional from this location.

The noise at night, from the hotel music being played outside on the patio, is extremely loud and kept us awake. Additionally, the loud music from downtown (which is right below the hotel and Cerra Conception) playing at the same time, all night long, made it impossible to sleep. We would NOT recommend this hotel despite its beautiful location and friendly staff. The rooms are old, run down and cramped and not worth the price. Breakfast is average.

Do not go in! If you are reading this from the inside in the 15min wait time to get the wine, you can still leave! Odds are the clueless staff wont even notice youre gone! Do not overpay for the wine that had its cork destroyed, and poured anyway without my consent. Do not overpay for the small unseasoned portions! RUN YOU FOOL! RUN!
