The location is excellent if you want to see pandas – it’s just across the road. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to visit them; entrance only costs around £5 to £6 for two people, and you can explore the grounds and use most facilities, though the theme park is excluded.

The hotel itself is somewhat outdated. While our room was quite spacious, there was a constant, foul sewage odour throughout the space. Additionally, we were given a smoker’s room despite having requested a non-smoking one.

However, the front desk service is very good. This morning before checkout, front desk manager Lily was amazingly helpful and ensured we had transport to catch our train – she definitely deserves 5 stars.

I specifically came here to see Yuko and Yu'ai at the 'Wormhole'! Choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision. From the hotel, you can cross the street, enter the zoo, and it's just a 200-meter walk to the Panda House. The hotel's location is convenient, making travel and dining very easy. You can take the light rail or a Didi (ride-hailing service) to the city center, which is very convenient. The hotel room was spotless, well-equipped, and odorless, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. ❤️❤️

Every time I visit Chongqing Zoo to see Yu Ai, I stay here. The hotel has undergone a slight renovation, but I have to complain about the showerhead – it's too high, causing water to splash everywhere and wet the area outside the shower stall.

I came to Chongqing to see the pandas, and this is my second time booking this hotel. The room, service, and location are all very good. We're foreigners and don't speak Chinese, but the front desk staff was incredibly kind and enthusiastic, which made us very happy. I'd love to come back again next time! 😊

The location is fantastic, right across from the zoo, and there are some great noodle shops nearby. The only downside is that the room window is small, so the cleaning scent lingered and couldn't air out properly.

The overall experience at this place really exceeded my expectations! 👍 The coffee shop downstairs has a very tasteful design and a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for hanging out with friends or quietly enjoying a cup of coffee ☕️ by yourself. The hotel staff's service attitude was excellent, especially Lena, who was meticulous and thoughtful, making me feel so welcome. The environment was clean and tidy, and the attention to detail was impressive. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it!

We stayed here with our child specifically to see the pandas. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the main entrance of the zoo, and it's only a five-minute walk to the panda exhibit – super convenient!

The location is super convenient, right at the entrance of the zoo, perfect for seeing the pandas after breakfast. You can even come back and rest afterward. However, the facilities are a bit outdated. The TV picture was blurry, and when I called the front desk, they said all the TVs were like that and couldn't be replaced. On the bright side, the front desk service attitude was very good.

We brought our child to see the pandas at Chongqing Zoo and chose the Howard Johnson Jinyi Hotel. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable, right at the zoo entrance. The breakfast was superb, authentic Hong Kong-style, and the garlic soft bread was the best I've ever had. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful; they even gave us a souvenir and, despite the hot weather, walked us to the exit and showed us the way to the subway station. We'll definitely choose this hotel again – excellent!
