My experience began when I first step foot on the front entrance. The bell boy was nice to help carrying my luggage when I got off the taxi. Once I presented by ID to the reception, the lady swiftly found my booking without needing me to present further cap screen from my phone. She was clear on all the details such as location of restaurants, time for breakfast, etc.
The room is big and very clean, the staff (gentleman) who led us to the room explained thoroughly on the event of that day, especially recommended the fire dance at night.
The facilities such as the pools are well maintained with sufficient number of lifeguards. The beach was well groomed with great sand texture. All the staff, including those opening the door on LG/F was friendly with smile, giving me a feeling that they really enjoyed working in MGM.
Definitely a 5-star experience and will come back again.

Wow this was a really great experience! We came at the height of summer holiday and despite the hotel being full, There’s always something interesting and fun to do, organized and very clean also. the programming for kids was fantastic, get a daily schedule and the M show (we watched while night swimming) was a hit with the kids. The staff were all extremely friendly, Michelle from lobby / front desk helped us check in early despite it being one of the busiest times of the month. Also Michelle H head of entertainment really aced it, her team is so good with kids. We had a truly fantastic time!!!

The hotel is good say the facilities which is new and model. We had an awesome experience here as we never feel bored in the hotel where there are lots of different activities and performance everyday. Good for a family trip.

Buffet breakfast and dinner are good with lots of choices. The only inperfect thing is that there are only three restaurants in the hotel and we stayed for three days and tried them all.

I was satisfied with the suite and all the equipment provided. It would be better if the kids' swimming playground could open earlier like 9:00. I was disappointed with the M+ show because it was held indoors in the hall, even though there was no rain outside.

We enjoyed the beautiful sea view and had a nice experience with the hotel team (especially the check-in colleague) or being treated like VIP. Highly recommended and would come again.

A very efficient and friendly team at MGM. Nice deco and great views from our room. There was a wide selection at the breakfast buffet too.

The only drawback was the construction sites opposite the hotel entrance. 90% of the drivers who picked us up were grumbling, advising us that this is the area they would avoid. Roads are wet and bumpy. A lot of coaches queuing up, possibly for groups commuting to and from the aquarium, thus blocking the road. Single file traffic resulted.
Traffic was really bad.

My advice is - If one decided to stay at MGM, better stay at the resort to enjoy the facilities and only visit the aquarium next door.

Yet when we were there during the weekend, temperature was 24C , gloomy and raining. It has been too cold to stay in the pool.

Great hotel, excellent service. We had a birthday and the hotel helped us set up everything. Great service by Xiao Zhou and Xiao E, Very friendly. Definitely will revisit this hotel when back to shenzhen.
