Hampton by Hilton Shenzhen Guangming in Shenzhen

Hotel charged full amount on my credit card (not just 'security holding amount') upon check-in, and the transaction was processed on the 2nd day (of my 4 nights') stay with them.

WORST OF ALL, the hotel charged my card through DCC without seeking my agreement to it. This is borderline fraudulent!

Hardly any English-speaking staff. One of the most unpleasant hotel stays I have had. Hotel owner clearly not upholding to Hilton brand standards

Stayed in Hilton’s all the time and in 25 years of business travelling, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. For an international hotel there is little or no English speaking staff, food choice is either Chinese or pizza ( which isn’t really like a pizza) and they won’t make you one after 9pm because the kitchen closes at 9:30. There is no draught beer, so everything is cans or bottles. The nearest shops are a good 20 minute walk from the hotel, but when I asked the one person who could speak a little English they didn’t know where they were. It is a new hotel and in an area that is obviously being modernised so I can’t blame the hotel for all the building going on around them. In the rooms there are notices that you can get free food, drinks even free nights if you leave them a 5 star review, so I wouldn’t trust any 5 star reviews you read, I’m not even sure Hilton know it’s going on but it’s shocking that they need to bribe you to write a good review. I certainly won’t ever stay in a Hampton by Hilton again and Hilton should be ashamed of this hotel. One other thing there is not a single English language Chanel on the T.V. So in essence nothing to watch, no one to speak to, no where to go, makes it the most boring place ever to stay.
