An older hotel, but it's decent and gets the job done. The main draw is that it's not expensive. It's located right off Shennan Avenue, in a busy downtown area, so transportation is very convenient. There are restaurants, shops, and other amenities nearby. Parking is a real hassle though, very difficult to find a spot as spaces are limited.

Our first little adventure was grabbing a Didi to the hotel-turns out the map pointed to the back entrance, which totally threw the driver off! Then came the noise situation: next door, a family with kids who seemed to have endless energy (and lungs!), plus cleaning staff who weren’t exactly light on their feet, and doors that loved to slam. I’d specifically asked for a quiet room when booking, but...

The soundproofing in the room is very poor. You can hear the slightest movement at the door or upstairs. There is a strong musty smell as soon as you enter the room. The sound of the water pipes on the wall is very obvious. A cover on the top of the ceiling is still leaking. It is mainly due to the carpet floor. The water dripping on the ground for a long time has a strong smell.
