After exiting Suzhou Railway Station, we took Metro Line 4 to Tongli Station, then transferred to the smart rail to Tongli Ancient Town. Transportation was quite convenient. However, it turned out that we had to buy a ticket to enter the Tongli Ancient Town scenic area. We immediately called the guesthouse owner, who suggested we enter after 5 PM to avoid paying for tickets. Haitanghuakai Nostalgia Guesthouse is located within the Tongli Ancient Town scenic area, near Lizhe Girls' School. The owner picked up our luggage in a tricycle. The guesthouse has a Chinese-style decor, and the lobby on the first floor is large, a place to read and drink coffee. We stayed in the Jasmine Room, which had a large window. The sunlight streamed in early in the morning, putting us in a good mood. The owner thoughtfully provided us with electric blankets in the evening.

This beautiful accommodation is in the heart of Tongli. The owner helped me get tickets and transported me from the parking lot to the accommodation. I also got a free upgrade (low season). The interior is very beautiful, when my friends saw a photo of it, they thought it was a 5 star hotel. There is also free washing.

Perfect! 100% recommend and would stay again.
Clean, beautiful ******* style rooms, very nice owners, right in the watertown but tucked away from the busy area.
The rooftop room was ideal for a single person but may feel small for two because of the slanted roof.
But you get the rooftop/balcony which feels like an extension of your space.
If you are sensitive to sound - It’s not 100% soundproof. You can hear the guests from other rooms a bit and it may get noisy early in the morning because of locals waking up to go to work, but that’s just how it is.
Note: tickets are needed to enter the watertown between 8am-5pm, talk to the owners before you get them as he may get it at a reduced price. Alternatively I guess you can try arriving after 17 😅.

Overall it's pretty good. The inn is located in the scenic area, not far from the north gate of Tongli, and it is convenient to go to the surrounding attractions. The environment outside is not noisy at night and it is relatively quiet.

The inn-style style and service were excellent. I stayed in a room with a balcony and eaves on the third floor, which was quite unique. The bathroom had plenty of sunlight, the bedding and other items in the room were odor-free, and the roof and floor were very clean. Typically, inns aren't soundproof, but this alley was quiet and perfect for a rest. The location is a five-minute walk from the ancient theater and easy to spot. Because you have to go upstairs, it's more recommended for backpackers. The balcony is a great place to dry clothes and enjoy a drink, but the lighting is insufficient at night, and the view isn't great. The downside is that the bathroom didn't have towels, but I'm used to using disposable towels, so that was fine. Finally, there was a thick layer of dust behind the bathroom door. While you can't step on it, it still needs to be cleaned. 😆

The environment is very good, the boss is very welcoming, and it is very close to the scenic area. It is quite comfortable to live here.
