The hotel's location is excellent, with a fantastic view, especially at night. The room facilities are comprehensive, and despite being an older hotel, it doesn't feel outdated. The only minor flaw was a small gap near the wall where the curtain didn't fully close, which might just be an issue with this particular room. It's something that could be improved.

Whenever I visit Suzhou, I always choose to stay at Hotel Nikko. The service is consistently excellent, and the location is superb – right by a subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. JAL's service is excellent, and the breakfast is abundant. We chose a room with a view of Lion Rock, which was beautiful. It's also very convenient to get around, with supermarkets and shops nearby for shopping and dining.

Fantastic! Great value for money, and it even included a buffet dinner. Our butler, Doris, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The subway is just across Central Park, only a few hundred meters away, so it's not far at all and perfectly bypasses ground traffic congestion.

Overall, my 5 night stay was good. But 4 out of 5 lifts were under maintenance for many days and we have to use the only man-operated passenger lift to go up. On certain days, we were told to use the staff lift to go up and go down which the lift look very run-down.

I stayed at Yangcheng Lake Xike Hotel on the weekend and chose a package with breakfast and dinner. Dinner was at the lake view restaurant, and the dishes were quite large. The hotel also occupies a large area, and the outdoor swimming pool is under renovation and is expected to be open during the summer vacation. It is very good to bring dogs to stay without extra charge.

Simple hotel for staying in. Near to Shangtang. Convenient to travel to the sights in Suzhou. The car drop off point should be improved as there is an area in front of the hotel for cars to drop off but it is cordoned off so we had to drop off at the road.
