However, some incidents detracted from the experience. The check-in process was problematic; I was asked to sign the credit card slip for a deposit hold, deviating from the international norm of a simple card swipe, suggesting a need for improved staff training. A major issue arose one morning with a water outage, preventing me from showering before a crucial meeting and causing significant inconvenience and tardiness. Directed to shower elsewhere, this major service failure greatly impacted my stay. The hotel's attempts to address and compensate for this disruption were inadequate, reflecting poor service recovery and further highlighting staff training gaps. In conclusion, The Hari Hong Kong offers a desirable location and generally polite staff, but the unacceptable water outage, combined with the poor handling of the situation, resulted in a decidedly mixed impression.
