Not bad at all. The room was spacious with a large sofa, and the airport pickup service was a great relief. The lunch buffet was very rich and varied.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again I was very pleased. The room size is generous, and overall it offers excellent value for money. The bed was very comfortable, and since I was on a work trip, I especially appreciated having a proper desk and chair, which made it easy to settle in and work.

One thing I particularly value is that the non-smoking floors are genuinely non-smoking—something that can’t always be taken for granted, especially based on some past experiences I’ve had in China.

The breakfast was very extensive, with a wide range of options catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. There was a large selection of cooked dishes, as well as Western-style items including bread, butter, jam, cereals, fruits, vegetables, and pastries. Overall, the variety was impressive and generous. From my perspective as a vegetarian who includes dairy, one small improvement would be the addition of cheese, which was missing. I also noticed that, despite the strong Western offering, cutlery was not always readily available and I occasionally had to ask for it. That said, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the coffee was excellent.

During my first stay, I also tried the late-night snack option, which I found quite interesting. It mainly consisted of noodles and dumplings, though most options were meat-based. Including a few vegetarian choices would make it more inclusive.

A special mention goes to Ryan Jiang, who was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. He assisted me with sending packages via courier, helped arrange an extension when I decided to stay longer, and even upgraded my room and included breakfast when I rebooked. His support made everything smooth and stress-free.

I also appreciated the small touches, like having fresh fruit in the room after a long day out. Additionally, I had medication that required refrigeration for the time that I had checked out and until I re-checked ( I had travelled for one day to Chongqing and back), and the concierge team handled this without any issues. When I needed help connecting to the internet, the reception staff responded immediately and went out of their way to assist me—everyone was attentive and eager to help.

Overall, this is a hotel I would definitely choose again.

I arrived at Holiday Inn Chengdu Airport physically and mentally exhausted. My luggage was heavy, I hadn't eaten all day, and I needed a hot shower. From the moment my check-in began, the ladies at the desk, were quick, clear, and considerate. The two ladies scheduled my next day shuttle service and issued me a meal voucher. It took less than 20 minutes. My dinning experience was priceless. As a foreigner with limited Chinese, I struggled but along with the help of a young man by the name of Baird Z. I was able to have a memorable experience. He escorted, served, and supported me throughout my meal. He asked what I enjoyed, he game me recommendations, and stood close by when I ate to ensure I had whatever I needed. He took me to the desert counter and sliced my cheesecake and brought it to my table even though I was with him. He almost brought me to tears when HE added a bit of sugar to my latte and refused to let me stir it. I was exhausted and hungry when I checked into the hotel and by the end of dinner it was hard to hold back the tears. His service meant the world to me at a time when kindness, respect, and service are at an all time low. His service was a reminder that people matter in every moment and little did he know I was struggling. I'd like to add that Krystal W. from the front desk was one of the young ladies that assisted me a few times and her service was superior! She answered a plethora of questions and at times we had to translate, but she never showed frustration. My encounter with these two employees will be touted to whomever will listen as I value customer service. If needed, I will be a repeat customer!

Hotel is conveniently located within short 5 minutes drive to airport. Room is clean, comfortable and spacious. Free shuttle to the airport.
Good value and will certainly come back again.

The hotel is incredibly convenient for the airport, just a five-minute drive away, and they offer a free shuttle service, though you need to book it in advance. Breakfast starts at 6 AM, which is great for early flights. I even got a free room upgrade during check-in. All in all, it's a solid choice for a layover.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with new furnishings and everything working perfectly. Overall, the quality of the room and facilities was excellent, especially considering the reasonable room price.

The only downside for me was the breakfast pricing. The additional cost for breakfast felt quite high for China, especially compared to the room rate itself, so I chose not to include it. In my experience, even international hotels in China often have limited Western breakfast options, so it didn’t feel like good value.

Apart from that, everything else was very good, and I would happily stay here again.

Service: They called me in advance to confirm my room preferences. At check-in, two ladies at the front desk offered complimentary snacks and drink vouchers, plus free breakfast and free late-night snacks! Before I left, they even gave me a free fridge magnet. I'd give 90 out of 99 points for the hotel's service!

Facilities: The hotel arranged complimentary airport shuttle service, which was very convenient. For pick-up, they provided a Toyota Coaster minibus, and for drop-off, a Ctrip special car service!

Environment: The hotel is located near the airport, with several chain restaurants downstairs.
