Newly Renovated Hotel Kastil in Bol

Friendly reception. The room was right above a noisy bar. After the first night I got itchy red spots on my body, probably from bed bugs. The room was not clean and very worn out. At breakfast there were lots of small flies and I saw a few cockroaches. I definitely cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is terrible. The bathroom is so dirty with mold. It feels like you’re staying in a college dorm room. Everything‘s so cheapy, furniture towels, linen etc.. and it has zero character. Plus, you can hear loud music at night and people walking by and there’s no actual curtains. The shutters on the outside of the building don’t shut all the way, and all they have is a see-through white curtain in the room. You can see in the room still from the restaurant downstairs and there’s no blackout for sleeping. they’re missing comforters in some of the rooms. my daughters went down to ask for comforters they said don’t have anymore in the hotel and just gave them another paper, thin sheet. Insane!

Hotel is on nice location but it is not worth of money. Rooms are very old, breakfast is ok but not more then ok.
Parking is the worst thing because there is no parking next to the hotel. Parking is 15 min from hotel and they charge 10 euros per day! We were shocked with that. They don't have any possibility for making coffee or tee in room. Coffee is free for breakfast. Otherwise had to be paid. And it can't be taken to the room even thoo is their restaurant. Music from bar under is extremly loud.
People from room next to us said how their AC wasn't working and no one came to check. I guess we were lucky with that.
People who work at the hotel are really nice and try to help with everything. But I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It costs too much for what is offering.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't understand how it can claim to be a 3 star hotel, when in reality I wouldn't offer more than 1 star. I booked 2 rooms for family and 10 month old baby, but when I saw what it looked like, I left after 2 hours of staying there. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by infernal heat and a receptionist who treated us with disgust. Then, the rooms are very old and dirty. The air conditioner doesn't really work, and the mouth that the air comes through is simply infected. In one room we had a fan, which I find unacceptable in a hotel that claims to be 3 star. The window shutters do not open, which made me feel like a prisoner. When I reported all this to the reception, I was told that the air conditioning was working but I had to wait (this was 2 hours after I had turned it on). I waited another 2 hours at the front desk for the receptionist to speak to the manager about my situation, but got no response. However, she made me write down my contact and financial details to refund my money. The next day when I called reception to ask if they had an answer to my situation, the receptionist effectively hung up on me. After several emails, I was replied that they could not refund my money because I paid cash. Thus, I was left with 2 paid rooms, which I could not take advantage of because of the miserable conditions there. AVOID THIS HOTEL !!!
