The hotel was conceived as a sanatorium, offering comprehensive Spa services. The building, consisting of seven surface and three underground floors, stands out sharply above the valley of jáchymov and from the terraces and balconies of the rooms offer magnificent views of the panorama of the ore mountains. A feature of this sanatorium is the divan room for Arab visitors.

Reservations available from 12 d/11 n, the minimum number of radon baths - 10.

2025. This was my first Radon treatment and stay at the Behounek spa. My right knee is at the bone on bone stage, x-rays showed that the knee is at the stage for knee replacement surgery but I decided to look for alternatives. A friend from Czech Republic recommended Behounek.
It has been almost one year since I had the radon baths and the other therapy sessions as prescribed by Dr. Marcela Maršíková. The knee felt and still feels feels more stable, hasn’t gotten worse, i am walking more steadily and not afraid to increase movements and exercise routines for the past year . I am following a regime of exercises which is necessaryZ I still can’t wear heels.. Run or lift heavy objects but that’s ok ! Accommodation was very comfortable, food was an issue as I am a vegetarian and there were few choices . I speak only English which was not spoken or understood by most who worked at the spa but I got by with single words or hand motions and translations via other guests whom
I met during the stay. Think i was their first Canadian / 4th generation Trinidadian ( Trinidad is an island in the caribbean and where i was born ) guest of Indian descent! Looking forward to my next visit.. maybe end of 2026 or early 2027 .
