Hotel Svamberský Dum in Cesky Krumlov

The hotel is located a short walk from the town square at the heart of Cesky Krumlov.

I was able to check-in online days before my stay and received a code to obtain my room key at the hotel. I did not have any contact with the owner but the check-in process went smoothly.

I had Room 4 and the room was clean and very neat. Room 4 is the only room with a balcony also. The bathroom also was very clean and toiletries were provided. Do keep in mind the there is not elevator and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

I did not have breakfast but for breakfast you do have to go to another hotel across the main square (5min walk).

I have seen bad reviews of this place but in my experience, I would recommend this hotel!

The stay here was fabulous. The room is spacious and comfortable. Same with the bathroom. The bed is great and comfy, too. It's a short walk to breakfast, but that was also very satisfying. The ladies are super nice and helpful. Overall, a great stay. Will certainly come again and I very highly recommend.

We stayed two nights in the suite room 8, the room is large, open plan and with a lovely bath and shower area. The bed was super comfy and the room very quiet. The location is right in the heart of the old town. This cannot be a hotel as there is no reception, you collect you key from a key box, breakfast is served at another hotel some 300m away. The towels were not changed, the beds half made and no replenishment of toiletries or coffee - for a suite I would expect more. Getting to room 8 is up some narrow stairs with low ceilings so just beware and don’t expect any view. For us it was a lovely base, lovely room but we were disappointed there was no service and that included no ability to turn on heaters (even to dry towels that hadn’t been changed). There is lots of accommodation in the old town

Great location, fantastic hotel

Wonderful place in the midst of the medieval old town of cesky krumlov! We went off season so we had our included breakfast at another place close by which was absolutely fine with us. The room in this incredibly old building was lovely equipped with a tasteful combination of modern and historic furniture. We were kindly allowed to store our bikes in the entrance hall.

A very cozy place. I had the pleasure of spending two weeks of January here and will stay here again if I ever return to Krumlov. The staff is very nice, the restaurant is good and relatively cheap, and the rooms are quite large.

Cosy and friendly restaurant. We had a quick dinner here by the fireplace. The food was served quickly. I had a Chicken Caesar salad which was quite large. It was tasty! Loved the cheese on it too.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Had the beef tartar which was excellent and wife had the garlic bread bowl soup which she also liked. We would definitely come back.

Nice place, affordable prices and a terrace on the street. Didn't like the soup with the garlic(previously eaten at another place, there is nothing to compare) and Apple strudel. Everything else is normal.
