The property was ok. The food was ok. There were termites in our room and on the bed due to the cheap wood used on the furniture. The staff took care of it right away but I don’t plan on staying here during our next visit to Las Terrenas. The pool was the best part.

Staff was amazing. A few glitches of inconvenience with the facility like water was out for half a day. Other than that, please place to just relax

We had an awesome time at this resort. We loved the beach, the layout of the hotel and the friendly staff. My favorite part was that there were a lot of cats in the grounds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, but somewhat outdated. I loved the beautiful beach and huge pool. I am going to miss that beach with crystal clear turquoise water. They have a vast variety of food options in the buffet. Their food is also top quality. This resort has so many activities that it’s impossible to get bored.

The hotel is not really that great . There was less food in the buffet of this resort compared to the other buffet in other resort I was in. The food is not really good. The service is a big 0. We spent our amazing vacation here in March 2019 and were booked to return March 2020. Sadly, covid made that impossible. We hope to return again as it was a perfect vacation. The rooms, the service, the food, beaches and pools were beyond our expectations.

The beach was beautiful and clean and the service was wonderful. Everyone was attentive and friendly very caring staff. Unfortunately we got very sick for 3 days, the medical staff were wonderful and the medical attention was outstanding. The room was comfortable. The food was ok too. It was a bitter sweat experience but overall happy we got to visit such beautiful place.

Spectacular sunsets over a sea so calm it could virtually be a mill pond. The tranquillity of the sea is matched by that of the point itself, palm fringed, rarely many people and no traffic noise. An ideal spot from which to contemplate the sunset in all too rare peace and quiet.

It’s beautiful. But is like a hidden beach so it Took me a few minutes to find it. Is gorgeous breath taking. However there’s really nothing around but villas. I recommend, (if you’re a not staying in the area) bring food and water spend the day and watch the sunset.

Takuma Boutik was the perfect place for our visit to Las Terrenas. The hotel was stunning and very tranquil. The staff was so incredible and kind, they even gave me a couple of DR avocados to take home. I highly recommend staying with Takuma Boutik!

Great stay at Takuma! Beautiful property, nice staff and delicious breakfast. The only reason I didn't get 5 stars is because I thought it was a little pricey considering its not directly on the beach. But we had a fabulous stay and enjoyed it very much.

Bueno, bonito y barato. Is very clean comfortable to spend a night or two, the pool is great and they have hot water. Is very pretty looking. But on the day we stay (Saturday) the music was loud from the other guest, They had music until maybe 12 pm.

Beautiful location ( restaurant ) with great food and👌drinks. VEGAN food available. -homemade vegetables soup. -burritos -the freshest juices in town. You can Chill out during the day or have some drinks at night.

The staff is amazingly friendly. The rooms are great. No AC but ceiling fans we're fine. Hot water, tv's. etc. It's not a big place. But it has a pool and a bus that takes you into town. The Hotel is a short drive from the beach. The complimentary breakfast is alright. Eggs, toast, cereal and Juice. The food at the restaurant is delicious. I Did not see any cats though.

Positive: Great location and European standards. Cleans rooms, clean bed sheets and great personal. Negative: Small rooms, very uncomfortable bed and mattress was wrapped in plastic so you sweat all night long and feel like sleeping on a plastic bag, so we didn't rest in the night. No mosquito net on the windows.

I would encourage any gringos who have some problem at their fancy resort to stay in this hotel. You'll get a feel for what the Dominican Republic is actually like. It seemed to be only locals staying here and it was affordable. It was not fancy in any way, but it was comfortable enough and served it's purpose. We had a room for $900 RD a night.

We stay at costa las ballenas for three-night. The room is nice (mosquitoes friendly 😅). Elena was a super host, always ensuring we needed anything and with multiple recommendations for our next steps at the island.

Replying to the review of Mariangela below that warned of the place. I stayed there at the same time as her, I know this because the owner told me they threatened to call the health authorities. I couldnt disagree more with her. They were a group of 18 people expecting a all-inclusive experience, when the hotel does not have a lot of common space or extra services (like breakfast or room service)....
