First and very disappointing matter , credit card cannot be used. Only cash. Unacceptable for a four stars hotel. Rooms are small and bathroom not really confortable. Far from Luxor temple. Cannot walk need to take taxi

I stayed here for two nights during New Year's 2026. It's a lovely hotel with views of the Nile, and the garden with the pool is very relaxing.

I had pre-booked a hot air balloon tour through a major website while still in Japan. I woke up at 3 AM and waited in the hotel lobby, but no one came. The hotel manager noticed and, out of kindness, arranged a balloon tour for me through his contacts.

I'm so grateful for the manager's thoughtfulness. Thank you very much. This hotel has a wonderful manager!

We left Aswan early in the morning and arrived in Luxor the same day, so we actually only stayed one night in Luxor. However, the hotel facilities were outdated, the lighting was dim, and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. Since we were only staying for one night, it was still acceptable, and at least the shower had hot water. But the room was quite dusty and had a slight musty smell. We hope the hotel can make improvements so that future guests can enjoy a more comfortable stay.

Good hotel, old but well maintained.
The cleaner was very creative for making towels in every day.
Breakfast is okay not so bad.
No hairdryer.

AVOID THIS HOTEL
Be prepared for a 27%(!) hidden tax: 14% VAT plus and an additional 12% “Service Tax”, a service that was never itemised on the invoice.

Your first red flag: this is probably the only 4-star hotel in the world that doesn’t accept VISA. That alone tells you a lot. VISA requires organised accounting, transparency, and financial accountability. They ONLY accept cash.
