We cannot recommend this hotel enough! The hotel is located right next to Luxor Temple, with an amazing view of the temple overlooking the Nile. Not to mention that you can see the Hatshepsut Temple from the rooftop! The view is especially beautiful at sundown! The breakfast is served on the same rooftop; it is varied, with cheese and pastries, fresh fruit, eggs and much more. It is also perfectly suitable for people traveling with kids. The meals served at the restaurant throughout the day were also delicious, especially the local cuisine. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, and of course, new towel art everyday, which we very much appreciated! The staff were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so much more enjoyable! They helped securing us care to travel to the Valleys of the Kings and also to the airport. We will definitely stay there again when traveling back to Luxor!

There were only stairs, but the hotel staff helped us. The room was a little small, and the toilet and shower were too close. The food on the rooftop was great!!

Overall, the experience was rather average. Hygiene could be improved; a long blonde hair was found on the bed, which was unsettling. Most absurdly, accessing the toilet required climbing a step, right next to the extremely small bed (which was practically nonexistent). It was easy to fall off the bed and hit the step if not careful, posing a significant safety hazard. Additionally, the toilet bowl consistently leaked, affecting usability.

On the plus side, the location was decent, close to attractions and markets, making it convenient for getting around. The breakfast was acceptable and met basic needs. Although there was no elevator, the staff helped with luggage.

In summary, the problems outweighed the advantages, and this stay was far from ideal. I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again.

An incredible choice for Luxor, clean, terrific location for sites & market, unbelievably helpful staff, fantastic views from the restaurant. Their taxi service to the airport is one of the cheapest, safest and most reliable around. Budget $2-$3 for someone to take your bags to your room, as there is no lift. Highly recommended!

The hotel has no elevator, so large luggage is not allowed. The rooms are a bit small. The advantage is that it's convenient for watching the sunset across the Nile River. There are no unpleasant smells, the air conditioning and water supply are good, and the soundproofing is so-so.

I would rate Hotel Nefertiti 5 stars overall. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, which really makes the stay pleasant. The rooftop terrace with the restaurant is just wonderful, delicious food at very reasonable prices, paired with an amazing view.

On the downside, breakfast could be improved — the choice is quite small and repetitive, and the bread is a bit on the sweet side. The highlight, however, is the omelet freshly made by the chef every morning.

The location is another big plus, right in the center of the city, surrounded by many bazaars, and only about a 7–8 minute walk to the train station. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay: towels, a hairdryer, and a good bed.

All in all, for a budget-friendly trip where you plan to travel and move around a lot, I think Hotel Nefertiti is a really great choice.

Lovely hotel, perfect location extremely kind and helpful staff. Rooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable and local decoration. Recommend staying here.
Charming restaurant on the rooftop with tasty but slightly overpriced food, no shisha and no beer. The hotel’s own tour agency (or the agency that they promote at check in) Magic Carpet is blatantly overpriced.

10/10 We had such a lovely stay here.
The location is as great as the reviews say.
The staff were friendly and always on hand for anything we needed. They were always busy with room cleaning or food prep and serving. The place doesn't seem to sleep.
Food was nice and complimentary breakfast has everything you could want.
Roof top is a great asset and you can see why its rated a Top place to either stay or drop by for food.
We booked a full day private tour of key sites in Luxor through Magic Carpet (which is their travel agents / experience bookings at the hotel - literally in the entrance / lobby!)
We had a lovely tour guide call Rania who was really knowledgeable and had great energy.
They're really great at arranging anything you want with not much notice and the prices are very reasonable.
We booked airport transfers through them too (shout out to the lovely Ahmed Abdel Raheem - great driver and really helpful with local info plus great English)
